Job Description Summary
The Director Sandoz Technology Communications will be responsible for developing and implementing a global communications strategy for the business unit and serve as business partner for the Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO), a member of the Sandoz Global Leadership Team (SLT).The incumbent is responsible to activate the narrative and executive presence of our technology organization and its leadership to drive engagement across internal and external audiences reinforcing the organization’s innovation story and to positively impact Sandoz vision and growth. The role reports to the Head of Strategic Communications and will be an integral part of the global Sandoz Corporate Communications team. In addition, the role will have functional reporting line to the CDIO and be a member of the Technology Leadership Team.

Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Designs and leads delivery of impactful and engaging communications strategies and plans for Sandoz Technology
- Act as a senior communications business partner to CDIO and the Technology leadership team. Counsel and advise on all communications topics – strategy, employee engagement, change management communications, external communications; drive and manage thought leadership for the CDIO
- Activate a communications narrative and program for the Technology strategy as well as the new operating model; ensure alignment of tone, voice, and messaging across internal and external platforms.
- Manage and coordinate communications and engagement around Technol7ogy domains’ (stakeholder success teams, core technology, strategic focus areas and operational excellence) priorities on unit and enterprise level in alignment with overall communications strategy and priorities
- Identify and secure speaking opportunities, media engagements, and industry recognition in line with the Sandoz thought leadership framework. Craft impactful messages, speeches, and social media content that reflect leadership vision and organizational priorities. Oversee creation of high-impact content including blogs, videos, newsletters, and presentations. Build relationships with media and industry influencers as part of the thought leadership strategy as appropriate
- Lead communication planning for major technology initiatives, product launches, and transformation programs; partner with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging across channels; contributes to the technology change journey and shapes culture in Technology
- Work in close collaboration with human resources and global internal communications to create a uniform and engaging Sandoz employee experience; collaborate with internal communications to evolve the Sandoz internal channel portfolio
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Communications or related field and/or degree in IT beneficial
- 10+ years of relevant experience creating and executing high-level internal and external communication plans in a dynamic environment.
- Successful track record in internal engagement and change communications
- Has worked successfully with all levels of employees, including Cs-suite executives, demonstrating exceptional partnering skills and strategic thinking
- Strategic thinker and hands-on implementer
- Adept at working in highly matrixed corporate environments
- Fluent English, further languages desirable
