Director, Technical Success Position Summary 

Reporting to the SVP of Customer Experience, the Director of Technical Success will be responsible for leading and scaling our global Technical Account Manager (TAM) teams. Integrating new technical solutions and teams as Delinea acquires new companies, technical alliances, expands our partnership ecosystem.   

 

As the leader of the Technical Success organization, the goal of this role is to increase value realization for customers through usage, retention, adoption, and investment in TAMs; while driving business expansion in our accounts. Given our subscription business model, this role is vital to our long-term growth. This position will be a key member of the Delinea Customer Leadership Team, but will work cross-functionally on many initiatives. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Develop a scalable TAM capacity and delivery model, aligning an ROI model to company growth targets 

  • Ensuring customer’s achievement of platform use cases, validated with business metrics and data driven insights. 

  • Drive vision, growth strategy, and an execution plan growing our customer-first culture and the development and delivery of global TAM offerings that address our customers’ unique needs. 

  • Ownership of partnership strategy plans; from creation, management of action items and deliverables, across stakeholders, cross functional teams, and to meet relative deadlines. 

  • Developing templates for tracking customer health data using CSP tools, including; product and feature adoption, and consumption against Delinea contract commitments. Accountable in using customer health data to drive customer management activities, inform recommendations and manage risk. 

  • Effectively drive awareness of Delinea’s product, product roadmap and new releases to all relevant customer stakeholders, in the context of the customer stakeholder’s role, current and prescribed future use cases of Delinea. 

  • Advocating for the customer with Delinea’s Product Team and Alliances Team which entails identifying product enhancements, opportunities and paths to solutions that require development and often third-party partners. 

  • Cultivating relationships with key stakeholders across customer organizations and establishing new relationships, directly or by introducing Delinea executives and product leadership. 

  • Ensuring expeditious, high-quality implementation of new Delinea solutions, customer enablement and feature adoption, which entails effective partnership with Delinea’s Services team.  

What You’ll Bring: 

  • Proven track-record of scaling a global team, successfully integrating acquisitions

  • Strength in talent management, driving a culture of coaching and development, performance management, and people-first approach 

  • Ability to convert strategy to tactics, having exceptional strategic, conceptual analytical thinking, and decision making skills 

  • Managerial courage: a desire to working cross-functionally to solve complex issues, not being afraid to disrupt the status quo for the greater good 

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of business models across industries  

  • Capable of managing fast-paced situations in a dynamic environment 

  • Ability to travel up to 25% 

 

Privilege Access Management (PAM) Expertise  

  • Good understanding of PAM Methodologies such as understanding of Identities, Access Controls, Authentication, Authorization, etc. 

  • Knowledge of the Least Privilege principles. 

  • Understanding of PAM solutions. 

Identity & Access Management (IAM) & Authentication 

  • Understanding of IAM, MFA, SSO, and Identity Federation (e.g., Okta, Ping Identity, Microsoft Entra ID). 

  • Familiarity with authentication protocols such as LDAP, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and Kerberos. 

  • Experience with RBAC, ABAC, and Zero Trust models for identity governance. 

Cybersecurity & Compliance Knowledge 

  • Basic Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, CIS controls, Zero Trust). 

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity regulations affecting PAM (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOX, and NIS2). 

  • Understanding of threat intelligence, insider threats, and risk management in privileged access security. 

Cloud & DevOps Security 

  • Knowledge of securing privileged accounts in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. 

  • Familiarity with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management (CIEM) tools. 

  • Knowledge of secret management solutions. 

Endpoint & Network Security 

  • Understanding of endpoint security and EPP/EDR solutions. 

  • Experience with Privileged Elevation & Delegation Management (PEDM) tools for endpoint privilege control. 

  • Basic knowledge of network security, firewalls, and zero-trust network architectures.
