Position Summary:

Delinea is seeking a Director, Technical Accounting and Reporting, to join our Finance team, serving as the first line of technical accounting support and internal consultation, including managing external accounting consulting matters if needed. They will also own drafting of the quarterly financial statements and related control activities. The role will not have any direct reports and will work closely with other members of the finance team as well as key cross functional partners such as the legal team.

The role will report to the SVP, Accounting. This position will be a hybrid role depending on the final location of the candidate.

What You'll Do:

· This high-impact individual contributor role will serve as a cornerstone of our technical accounting and related reporting, maintaining a database of technical accounting policies and memos, driving reporting excellence, and ensuring U.S. GAAP compliance in partnership with GL and Revenue accounting team leadership

· Provide proactive guidance and documentation on complex accounting transactions, stay current on FASB developments, and recommend best practices to enhance financial integrity, reporting quality, and internal controls.

· Stay current on FASB and related developments, assessing and communicating the impact of new pronouncements to the Accounting Team.

· Recommend and implement best practices that enhance financial integrity, reporting quality, and internal controls.

· Conduct disclosure committee meetings.

· Support audit committee materials preparation.

What You'll Need:

· 10+ years of professional experience with tenure in software or technology companies a plus.

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA in active status

· Public accounting experience with Big 4

· Highly developed written and verbal communication skills

· Expert in technical accounting issues, US GAAP, and complex transactions

· Experience with M&A due diligence, valuations, and purchase accounting

· Experience with hedge accounting and equity accounting

· Strong understanding of financial statement analysis

· History of solving multiple and complex operational and accounting challenges

· Excellent project management and analytical skills, with attention to detail and continuous improvement

· Experience with private equity backed and public companies
