Moving beyond the foundational build, you will be the definitive chief tax strategist responsible for guiding our continued international expansion and substantial revenue growth with world-class tax efficiency. You will leverage your experience from a Big 4 Senior Manager role to immediately advise the CFO and executive team on complex US and international tax matters, directly impacting enterprise value by ensuring a globally-optimized tax structure.

Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to location, market demands, experience, job-related knowledge, and skills. For roles based in California, Colorado, Maryland, New Jersey or Washington the base salary hiring range for this position is $175,000 to $210,000 per year.

What You'll be Doing
- Own Global Tax Strategy & Planning: Develop, implement, and maintain the worldwide tax strategy to optimize the company's effective tax rate (ETR) and minimize tax liabilities while supporting continued rapid international growth.
- Oversee End-to-End Global Compliance: Direct and manage all global tax compliance activities, including U.S. federal and state income tax, sales & use tax, payroll tax, and international VAT/GST filings, working with and managing external advisors.
- Lead ASC 740 Tax Provision and Reporting: Take full ownership of the quarterly and annual income tax provision process (ASC 740), managing all calculations, documentation, and external audit relations.
- Manage International Tax Structure: Strategically review the company's international tax structure, including all transfer pricing policies and documentation, to ensure compliance and tax efficiency in every operating jurisdiction.
- Risk Mitigation and Audit Management: Proactively identify and assess tax risks across all tax types, design mitigation strategies, and lead the defense of the company's tax positions during federal, state, and international tax audits.
- Lead the comprehensive process for preparing, reviewing, and distributing Schedule K-1s to partners, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

About You
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA certification is required. Master's degree in Taxation (MST) highly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive tax experience, with a minimum of 3+ years at the Senior Manager level within a Big 4 public accounting firm.
- Industry Experience: Recent, relevant industry tax experience required, ideally in a high-growth, multi-national SaaS or Technology company environment.
- Technical Skills: Deep expertise in U.S. Federal and State Corporate Income Tax, complex International Tax principles (e.g., GILTI, FDII, Subpart F), Payroll Tax, and hands-on experience with ASC 740 (Tax Provision).
- Critical Experience: Proven history of creating, strategizing, and analyzing complex tax issues, with a strong focus on strategic planning and operational oversight for a multi-national entity.
- Cross-Functional Partners: Proven ability to partner effectively with the CFO, Corporate Controller, Legal, and People Operations to integrate tax considerations into major business decisions.
