JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the FOX banner, we produce and distribute content through some of the world’s leading and most valued brands, including FOX News Media, FOX Sports, FOX Entertainment, FOX Television Stations, and Tubi Media Group. We empower a diverse range of creators to imagine and develop culturally significant content while building an organization that thrives on creative ideas, operational expertise, and strategic thinking.

ABOUT THE ROLE

FOX is launching a new direct-to-consumer (DTC) subscription streaming service. As the Director of Systems Integration Testing, you will play a pivotal leadership role in ensuring a seamless, high-quality launch and post-launch experience for this service. This position will oversee the full systems integration testing lifecycle—from defining the testing architecture and strategy to coordinating end-to-end test execution across platforms and devices.

You will be responsible for owning and evolving the integration testing model, establishing long-term QA standards, driving test automation initiatives, and managing cross-functional relationships across engineering, product, and vendor teams. You will ensure the platform delivers a robust and reliable personalized viewing experience across complex, large-scale video streaming environments, especially during live events like the NFL season.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and drive the overall integration testing strategy for FOX’s DTC streaming products.

  • Oversee day-to-day execution of end-to-end integration testing across streaming platforms, backend systems, and user devices.

  • Manage a cross-functional team of QA engineers and testing vendors to meet aggressive launch timelines.

  • Own the integration and transition testing framework into long-term FOX operations.

  • Develop and implement best practices in integration testing, automation, and defect tracking.

  • Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and solution architects to ensure test plans align with business requirements.

  • Monitor and report testing KPIs, defect trends, and risk areas to leadership.

  • Maintain testing environments and ensure coverage across a broad range of supported devices (Roku, FireTV, iOS, Android, Samsung TV, Xbox, etc.).

  • Lead integration test planning for feature sets as the service evolves.

  • Stay informed on and appropriately employ the latest QA tools, trends, and methods for scalable and reliable testing, including leverage of AI and ML technology

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Extensive experience in test engineering and delivery leadership roles, overseeing complex, multi-stream initiatives in a matrixed, fast-paced environment.

  • Deep expertise in agile delivery methodologies, with a demonstrated ability to adapt practices to suit varying project scopes, team structures, and business needs.

  • Proven success delivering software at scale within the OTT, streaming, or broader digital media sector, ideally across both consumer product and platform engineering teams.

  • Strong fluency in the full software delivery lifecycle—from idea to launch—and a demonstrated ability to translate strategic goals into executable delivery plans.

  • Experience leading global or cross-functional delivery teams, including direct management and influence across non-reporting relationships.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to earn trust, influence at the executive level, and align teams around shared goals.

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Recognized thought leader in program delivery or agile transformation, with a track record of driving cultural and operational change at scale.

  • Prior experience launching or scaling a direct-to-consumer streaming product—especially in a startup or high-growth environment within a larger media organization.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
