Summary of Position:

The Director, Strategy will report to the SVP, Strategy within the Strategy & Communications department – leading strategic marketing initiatives for both new and existing client-projects. They will ensure programs and campaigns are insight-driven, ownable to the brand, resonate in culture, and are executed at the highest level.

This person must have the ability to develop integrated experiential campaigns that cut into culture and consumers’ lives. From initial insight to final decks, this person must be able to craft a strategy into a persuasive story that inspires creative teams and excites our clients.

This position will join an ambitious team of multidisciplinary strategists and experts. The Director will have the opportunity to lead strategic initiatives by working cross-functionally to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies and advise senior clients on a regular basis.

This position’s time will be at least 50% dedicated to one of the fastest growing and most exciting brands in the tech industry. Work will include brand and experiential strategy, new market/country launches, tentpole campaigns and activations, partnerships and content strategy, and more.

This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role that will require a confident marketer, leader, writer, and speaker with a passion for brands and a deep fascination with culture and the role brands play within it.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead key strategic projects to fulfill client deliverables and execute exceptional programs
  • Support the SVP Strategy in day-to-day strategic marketing output
  • Responsible for leading the development of strategic programs, and communicating our strategies and positioning to key clients
  • Lead breakthrough brand experience strategy, inclusive of creative strategy, culture strategy, and comms strategy
  • Research, write, and deliver provocative, insights-driven creative briefs and tactical briefs for internal teams
  • Participate in the RFP process, offering brand solutions against client requests as needed
  • Collaborate cross departmentally to develop breakthrough ideas/strategies for new business proposals and existing accounts
  • Serve as a thought-leader internally within NVE and externally with clients.
  • Connect the full range of NVE’s capabilities, from brand experience, partnerships, communications, creator marketing, Cognition (interactive) and The Future Party, amongst others – for our brand partners.
  • Maintain a deep knowledge of category and competitive activity

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6+ years’ experience in marketing and brand solutions, either agency or brand side
  • Experience includes brand management or strategy, advertising, content strategy, media, events, and/or PR
  • Specific experience in tech, auto, or CPG industries preferred. Preference for experience in launching brands or products in new markets, both nationally and internationally.
  • Specific experience in developing and leading cultural marketing initiatives
  • Specific experience in leading integrated programs and connecting the brand objectives through the line.
  • Creative problem-solving, and a doer/builder of decks and beautiful documents
  • Ability to think creatively with evidence of success in developing brands and delivering them to market.
  • Strong communication skills, an imaginative writer, and enthusiastic presenter with proficiency with Google Workspace.

Location: We are a hybrid company with hub locations in Los Angeles and New York City. The ideal candidate is located in Los Angeles or New York, however, we will consider remote candidates for this role.

Salary Estimation: [$115,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year]

This is an Exempt full-time role. NVE intends to provide a competitive total compensation package which includes a variety of incentives, benefits, growth and developmental opportunities. There are many factors to the presented salary range, including but not limited to - location, departmental budgets, certifications, and overall job-related qualifications. 
Employment eligibility verification is required for this role. In certain states, NVE participates in the E-Verify program in accordance with local regulations.
Applicable states: Utah, Arizona, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida.
