Ansira is seeking a Director, Client Strategy – Insurance, Financial Services & Healthcare to support channel partner marketing strategies for brands within this sector that sell through distributed ecosystems. This Director will serve as the primary strategic lead on a defined set of accounts and across major workstreams, helping brands activate effective brand-to-local programs through agents, brokers, advisors, branches, and healthcare partners. The successful candidate will be a well‑rounded strategist who can leverage a broad toolkit (brand, media, CRM, content, COOP funding, analytics) to define solutions and opportunities while bringing specialized expertise to compliment Ansira solution set.
The Director will support and influence channel program design, optimization, and growth, while partnering closely with Client Partnership (CP) and cross-functional teams (Product, Media, CX/Experience Design, Creative, Martech, Analytics). The role reports into a Sr. Director, Client Strategy who owns broader multi-vertical strategy, P&L, and overall vertical approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead channel partner strategy for assigned accounts and workstreams in Insurance, Financial Services, and Healthcare, translating client and partner goals into clear briefs, hypotheses, and integrated channel plans within established frameworks.
  • Support and influence channel partner programs (e.g., co-op/MDF, incentive and loyalty structures, local media packages, playbooks, partner enablement) that drive brand-consistent activation at the local level across agents, brokers, advisors, branches, and healthcare partners.
  • Partner with Client Partnership (CP) to drive organic growth, proactively surfacing opportunities, shaping solutions, and contributing to pitch materials and business reviews that lead to incremental revenue and deeper program adoption.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with platform teams, Media, CX/Experience Design, Creative, Martech and Analytics to design, implement, and optimize brand-to-local programs, owning the strategic “what and why” while influencing, not owning, cross-functional execution.
  • Define and interpret KPIs for partner programs (e.g., participation, fund utilization, lead and pipeline impact, cost efficiency, satisfaction), using data and insights to recommend optimizations that improve partner engagement, local performance, and ROI.
  • Represent Client Strategy in vertical-specific thought leadership efforts (e.g., POVs, case studies, webinars, conferences) for Insurance, Financial Services, and Healthcare, contributing subject-matter insight and reusable frameworks that support Sales and Client Partnership teams.
Required Experience & Skills
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing strategy, channel/partner marketing, or customer/partner experience, with meaningful exposure to Insurance, Financial Services, and/or Healthcare.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading marketing strategies for distributed channels, such as:
    • Insurance agents and brokers
    • Financial advisors, branch networks, or independent representatives
    • Healthcare providers, systems, or affiliated partner networks
  • Proven ability to translate business goals into actionable channel partner strategies and work plans, including experience with one or more of:
    • Co-op/MDF or incentive program design and optimization
    • Local media and marketing activation packages for partners
    • Partner marketing playbooks, toolkits, or enablement programs
    • Translating ambiguous client challenges into clear problem statements and structured strategic approaches
  • Track record of contributing to revenue and growth by identifying organic opportunities, shaping solutions, and supporting Client Partnership and Sales teams in selling in additional work.
  • Strong skills in storytelling with data, comfortable defining KPIs, interpreting performance, and turning insights into clear recommendations for both internal stakeholders and client executives.
  • Demonstrated success working in close partnership with account/client leadership as a shared strategist across multiple accounts or initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, including:
    • Building trust with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders
    • Leading strategic discussions, workshops, and planning sessions
    • Producing clear, concise decks and written recommendations
  • Comfortable operating in a remote-first, matrixed environment, managing multiple projects and stakeholders with solid planning, prioritization, and time management.
  • Naturally inclined to learn, ask questions, understand the why.
  • Self-motivated/self-starter, and ability to work independently.
  • Fluency with generative AI tools as a strategic thought partner and efficiency driver in day‑to‑day work.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel (or equivalent) for creating strategic narratives, frameworks, and performance readouts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field—or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in a marketing, media, or consulting role in the Insurance, Financial Services, Healthcare or Highly Regulated Industry with distributed channel or partner ecosystems.
  • Hands-on familiarity with:
    • Channel/Funds platforms (co-op/MDF, incentives, partner portals)
    • Digital media and local activation (search, social, programmatic, streaming, email/CRM, experiential, print).
  • Experience contributing to thought leadership (e.g., blogs, webinars, conference presentations, case studies) in channel partner marketing or brand-to-local strategy.
  • Exposure to measurement and analytics approaches for channel programs (e.g., fund utilization analysis, partner segmentation, proxy ROI models, benchmarking across partner tiers).
Location & Travel
  • Location: Remote, U.S.-based (Ansira is a remote-first organization).
  • Travel: Occasional travel (estimated up to 15–20%) for:
    • Client onsite meetings, workshops, and business reviews
    • Industry events and conferences
    • Periodic internal planning or team meetings

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
