In a world of digital transformation, where organizations are faced with increasing cyber risk but cannot afford defensive measures to slow down progress, Saviynt’s Enterprise Identity Cloud gives customers unparalleled visibility, control and intelligence to better defend against threats while empowering users with right-time, right-level access to the digital technologies and tools they need to do their best work.

The Strategy team at Saviynt is focused on achieving significant results for the company through robust performance management frameworks, a disciplined operational cadence, and the leadership of critical strategic initiatives. We spearhead high-impact projects that span product strategy and broader corporate objectives.

As the Director of Strategy, you will lead the development and execution of strategies that drive substantial growth and significant operational improvements across the business. This encompasses formulating long-term strategic priorities and the detailed execution plans to achieve them, generating key business insights through rigorous analysis, and directing market and customer research to identify and capitalize on significant new opportunities for growth and market expansion. You will also partner closely with senior leadership to enhance the operational rhythm of the organization, establish clear metrics for critical initiatives, and contribute to the preparation of high-level content for executive-level discussions.

In this highly visible role, you will tackle complex, strategic challenges, gain deep insight into the most pressing issues on the executive agenda, have direct exposure to senior-level decision-making processes, and cultivate influential relationships with leaders across all functions of the company.

We are seeking a strategic leader with a strong background in product and market strategy, coupled with a proven track record of success in all facets of strategy development and execution, including project leadership, sophisticated business analysis, and effective problem-solving. Crucially, we require candidates with previous experience working within a scaling SaaS company. We value individuals who are driven, possess exceptional executive communication skills, and excel at building consensus across diverse teams. A demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative, and often ambiguous environment is essential. Experience in management consulting and the technology market is highly desirable.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Lead and drive highly visible, strategic projects for Saviynt, working cross-functionally to rigorously structure complex problems, thoroughly analyze significant opportunities, and drive towards impactful solutions, recommendations, and measurable results through a comprehensive, fact-based approach.
  • Direct the development of comprehensive strategies in collaboration with cross-functional leadership, clearly outlining the business opportunity, strategic rationale, and detailed operating plans (including product roadmaps, go-to-market strategies, and business models) required to capture that opportunity.
  • Oversee the generation of critical business insights through advanced analytics and in-depth market research, providing actionable intelligence on market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
  • Identify and champion key areas within the business where strategic interventions can drive substantial performance improvements, unlock significant growth potential, and provide clarity for effective execution.
  • Spearhead the development of robust business cases, including sophisticated financial modeling, comprehensive cost-benefit analyses, thorough risk assessments, and insightful scenario planning to support strategic decision-making.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • 8-12+ years of progressive experience, including 3+ years post-MBA (preferred), in a combination of strategic roles, business operations leadership, and strategy within a technology company, coupled with experience at a top-tier management consulting firm or in a corporate strategy function with significant exposure to the technology sector.
  • A significant portion of this experience must have been gained at a scaling Cyber Security or SaaS company.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading large-scale strategic initiatives from initial problem framing and rigorous research/analysis through the development of comprehensive business and operational plans, and ultimately driving successful execution.
  • Exceptional mathematical, data analysis, and financial modeling skills with the proven ability to independently address complex business challenges with minimal guidance.
  • Strong executive presence and outstanding written/verbal communication skills to effectively engage and influence senior executives across various geographies and functions; comfortable in both business and technical discussions.
  • Highly developed influencing skills with a proven ability to lead and motivate extended and virtual teams to achieve strategic objectives.
  • A proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and innovative high-growth environment.

If required for this role, you will:
- Complete security & privacy literacy and awareness training during onboarding and annually thereafter
- Review (initially and annually thereafter), understand, and adhere to Information Security/Privacy Policies and Procedures such as (but not limited to):

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
