This individual is an experienced professional in the entertainment industry, who will serve as a key driver in developing and managing entertainment strategies inclusive of brand, talent, content, and strategic entertainment partnerships. With a deep understanding of the entertainment ecosystem, they will lead internal and external strategic planning, deliver tailored recommendations, oversee execution across multiple platforms and formats, and manage all aspects of brand and talent client relationships, while also directing creative and analytics support. This role requires a blend of industry knowledge, business acumen, and the ability to navigate market trends, audience preferences, and emerging technologies to position clients and their go-to-market strategies for long-term success.

The ideal candidate has experience in both brand and entertainment, specifically brands in entertainment - including talent partnerships, product integrations, co-promotional partnerships, originals, account team leadership—along with a passion for pop culture, lifestyle, and entertainment. This person is organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. A minimum of 8 years of experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and execute strategic recommendations and comprehensive strategies for brands and talent, which may include content (co-promotions, integrations, and originals), talent partnerships, events, or broader entertainment platforms. This includes managing the full strategic lifecycle: from initial ideation to planning, coordination, execution and performance measurement against the scope of work.

  • Develop and present creative briefs and strategic recommendations across scoped long-term accounts and short-term projects.

  • Proven track record in content creation and execution, including originals, branded content, and co-productions.

  • Serve as a strategic lead on day-to-day brand and talent needs to achieve deliverables and drive growth.

  • Provide subject-matter expertise to multiple business units and client teams.

  • Support new business development, including pitch ideation, presentations, and, when needed, lead new business/client pitches.

  • Collaborate closely with WME Insights (Data & Analytics) to identify marketplace trends, audience preferences, and the competitive landscape to align with brand mandates/talent needs and maximize business growth opportunities.

  • Leverage a strong network of industry relationships to drive client objectives and build meaningful connections. Act as a liaison between brands and external stakeholders (e.g., producers, writers, directors, studios, streamers, media executives, etc.).

  • Collaborate with colleagues across WME Group to share insights and gather upstream intelligence. While this role will have access to every aspect of the company’s businesses, success will rely on building trusted relationships across the organization.

  • Lead all internal and external communications, including but not limited to reports, presentations, trackers, and recommendations to senior leadership.

Skills & Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., marketing, public relations, finance, or psychology) is required.

  • 8+ years of entertainment marketing experience. Prior experience with brands, talent agency, network or studio is required.

  • Established relationships across the entertainment industry.

  • Deep knowledge of the entertainment industry, including knowledge of leading Gen Z / Millennial focused content and talent across TV and film.

  • Proven ability to provide strategic insights across multiple projects simultaneously and drive results.

  • Strong pitching and presentation skills, with the ability to develop and deliver compelling information and recommendations.

  • Strong creative and strategic business development capabilities.

  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, relationship management, and written communication skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving and demanding market while managing multiple client priorities.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
