We’re seeking a strategic leader and execution-oriented Director of Strategy & Operations. This role is critical to driving the Yahoo Search business strategy, leading internal initiatives, elevating and communicating progress and performance of the Search group across Yahoo.
You’ll partner closely with the VP of Revenue & Operations leadership to to align our strategic priorities with day-to-day operations, to conduct in-depth market research (particularly with respect to Generative AI), to support high-impact performance and decision-making, and to unlock growth opportunities for Yahoo Search.
Strategic Planning: Partner with Search leadership to define and refine Search’s strategy; largely driving the annual planning process.
Performance Excellence: Think critically about processes, KPIs, and reporting frameworks that drive accountability and results across teams, including leading the monthly business review.
Business Research & Insights: Evolve to develop subject-matter expertise in Search (particularly the evolving nature of querying and delivering on user intent), conduct research to assess competitive landscape and to shape areas for business and product improvement.
Special Projects & Program Management: Drive execution of select Search initiatives and special projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met. This includes supporting Search and Yahoo leadership communications and deliverables, ensuring readiness for offsites, all-hands, and select partnership opportunities.
8 - 10 years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or related roles—ideally with experience in a high-growth or matrixed environment.
Proven track record of leading strategic initiatives and improving operational performance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with financial modeling and data analytics tools is a plus.
Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in ambiguity and bring structure to complex problems
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.

The compensation for this position ranges from $129,210.00 - $281,305.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
