About the Role

We’re seeking a strategic, data-driven, and execution-oriented Director of Strategy & Operations. This role is critical to driving the Yahoo Search business strategy, leading cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence across the organization.
You’ll partner closely with the VP of Revenue & Operations leadership to align our strategic priorities with day-to-day operations, support high-impact decision-making, and unlock growth opportunities.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Partner with executive leadership to define and refine company strategy; lead annual and quarterly planning processes.

• Operational Excellence: Develop scalable processes, KPIs, and reporting frameworks that drive accountability and results across teams.

• Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and influence cross-functional initiatives—breaking down silos and aligning teams to strategic priorities.

• Business Performance & Insights: Conduct deep analysis to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and support data-driven decision-making.

• Program & Project Management: Drive execution of company-wide initiatives and special projects, ensuring timelines, resources, and deliverables are met.

• Change Management: Serve as a key advisor and change agent to drive alignment and adoption of new initiatives, tools, and ways of working.
   

Qualifications

• 8 - 10 years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or related roles—ideally with experience in a high-growth or matrixed environment.

• Proven track record of leading strategic initiatives and improving operational performance.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with financial modeling and data analytics tools is a plus.

• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

• Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
   

Preferred Skills

• Experience in [industry-specific experience if relevant]

• Familiarity with tools like SQL, Tableau, Airtable, or Asana

• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and bring structure to complex problems

The compensation for this position ranges from $129,210.00 - $281,305.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
