THE OPPORTUNITY:
MHN is seeking a Director, Strategy & Program Innovation to lead the design, development, and launch of new service offerings that enable FQHCs to succeed in value-based care and help health plans deliver high-value care to their members. This individual will shape MHN’s innovation strategy by identifying new market opportunities, enhancing enterprise solutions, building business cases, and driving cross-functional execution from concept to launch.
The ideal candidate will bring transformation/innovation expertise, healthcare strategy experience (ideally in value-based care), and a proven ability to collaborate across clinical, operational, and technical teams to deliver measurable impact for safety-net providers, health plans, and the communities they serve.

- Hybrid schedule: Candidates within 50 miles of Chicago are expected to work onsite 2 days per week and remotely for 3 days. Fully remote options are available for candidates located outside this area.
WHAT YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO:
- Lead market and competitive assessments to inform MHN’s program innovation roadmap and strategic priorities.
- Partner with executive leadership to define strategies that advance MHN’s mission and strengthen FQHC performance and health plan value-based care outcomes.
- Monitor industry trends in population health, care delivery transformation, and healthcare technology to identify emerging opportunities for new service offerings.
- Present recommendations to MHN senior leadership
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of new service offerings—from ideation and business case development to launch, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate cross-functional design sprints and innovation workshops, ensuring programs reflect the needs of both FQHC and health plan partners.
- Define and track success metrics, using data and partner feedback to refine programs and inform future investments.
- Partner with clinical leaders, operations, and technology teams to ensure feasibility, product/market fit, and adoption of new service offerings.
- Build consensus across stakeholders to deliver programs on time, on budget, and with measurable impact for FQHC and health plan partners.
- Develop and manage strong external relationships with FQHC leadership, health plan executives, payers, and technology vendors to support implementation and scaling.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- 8+years of professional experience in a combination of healthcare, healthcare technology, and/or value-based care, with at least 3 years in a management or strategy consulting role in technology strategy, strategy or management consulting, innovation, or leadership roles.
- Demonstrated healthcare experience with direct exposure to value-based care models, population health, or care delivery transformation.
- Proven track record in designing and launching new service offerings in a healthcare setting.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with comfort engaging C-suite, clinical leaders, and operational teams.
- Experience in care transformation/care delivery redesign.
- Experience with healthcare technology platforms or digital health solutions.
- MBA, MPH, MHA, or related advanced degree.
- Lean, Agile, or Design Thinking expertise.
- Go to market and/or startup experience
