WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
The Sports Marketing Athlete Services & Styling team is responsible for ensuring our athlete partnerships are relational, driving value for both the athlete and for Nike. As the leader of the Styling team, reporting into the Sr Dir, Sports Marketing, 365 Athlete Services, you will be focused on delivering elevated styling services to Nike’s athlete portfolio that align to athletes’ personal preferences as well as Nike’s holistic styling initiatives. This role will manage a team dedicated solely to athlete product and styling who will obsess the styling journeys of Nike’s top-tier athletes through relationship-building and athlete connection back to critical Nike functional partners. This role can ONLY sit at WHQ ( Beaverton, OR) LAHQ ( Los Angeles) and or NYHQ (NYC).
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate must be able to lead a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to influence multiple internal and external stakeholders to create new services, capabilities, and ways of working.
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Marketing, or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
- 8+ years’ successful experience navigating a complex matrix and building key relationships to achieve business results.
- 8+ years' account/project management and internal/external relationship management experience, preferably in the Sports industry.
- History of success leading highly functioning teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including meeting facilitation and presentations. Proficiency in Keynote, Excel, and MS Office applications.
- Ability to develop and maintain fair and honest relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Proven ability to prioritize workloads, negotiate, and influence decision makers.
- Ability to manage high profile communication and athlete relationships.
- True passion, understanding and interest in the Sports industry.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
This role is responsible for developing the Sports Marketing Strategy for holistic styling and product experiences for athletes. It will drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure that Sports Marketing’s athlete styling strategy is aligned to broader Nike styling initiatives. This role will ensure that Nike’s athletes are fashion and cultural icons and that sport is fashion’s new front row.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for setting the Marketing Strategy for holistic styling and product experiences for athletes.
- Lead cross-functional alignment with Brand, Entertainment Marketing, Energy Marketing, and Comms to ensure alignment on broader Nike athlete styling initiatives.
- Facilitate an athlete product insight feedback loop to help fuel Nike’s sportswear business.
- Build a network of external stylists and resources to operationalize styling during key athlete moments like tunnel walks, appearances, etc.
- Manage the Sports Marketing styling services team and budget to deliver holistic styling and product experiences for athletes.
- Develop internal processes and tools that empower the team to provide consistent and elevated product and styling services for athletes.
- Own Style Profiles and drive athlete styling journeys for top-tier athletes.
