What You’ll Do

As Director of Special Education, you’ll lead Edmentum’s enterprise-wide strategy for special education services. You’ll ensure our instructional models, service delivery systems, and compliance practices meet the highest standards of equity, access, and legal alignment. You’ll collaborate across departments to embed inclusive practices into our core operations and represent Edmentum as a national thought leader in special education.

In this role you will:

  • Develop and lead Edmentum’s special education strategy across all service models
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives to embed compliance and instructional quality into core systems
  • Ensure services meet IEP requirements and align with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Partner with district leaders to co-design implementation plans that support student success
  • Lead professional development programs that build educator capacity in inclusive instruction
  • Represent Edmentum in strategic partnerships and national education forums
Who You Are
  • You have a Master’s Degree in Special Education or a related field (Doctorate preferred)
  • You bring 7–10 years of leadership experience in special education strategy and compliance
  • You hold state certification/licensure in special education administration
  • You are an expert in IDEA, Section 504, ADA, and related laws and funding structures
  • You have led enterprise-wide initiatives and influenced senior stakeholders
  • You design scalable instructional systems and compliance frameworks
  • You collaborate effectively across departments and functions
  • You communicate with clarity and represent your organization externally
  • You thrive in fast-paced, remote-first environments
  • You are willing to take on evolving responsibilities based on business needs

Pay range for this role:
$75,000$105,000 USD

At Edmentum, we are committed to pay transparency. The salary range provided reflects market research, the responsibilities of the role, and alignment with our compensation principles. Actual compensation will be determined based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill sets. All compensation decisions are individualized and based on the specific circumstances of each candidate.
