Job Summary:
We’re looking for a Director of Solutions Engineering to lead our talented team of Solutions Engineers. In this role, you'll guide the team responsible for pre-sales technical expertise, product demos, and crafting tailored solutions for potential clients. You’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to help prospects clearly understand the value of what we offer—and to make sure implementations are smooth from the start. If you have a strong technical background, solid leadership experience, and a knack for strategic thinking, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do:
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and grow the Solutions Engineering team. Your job is to make sure they have the technical know-how and sales skills to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Pre-Sales Support
Work hand-in-hand with the Sales team to understand what potential customers need, showcase our product capabilities, and tailor solutions that really fit their specific challenges.
Solution Design & Customization
Help design and shape custom solutions. You’ll bring deep technical expertise to the table to help clients clearly see how we can solve their business problems.
Technical Expertise
Stay sharp on our latest product updates, integrations, and what’s happening across the industry. You’ll be the go-to technical expert for big opportunities and support the team in staying ahead of the curve.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product and Engineering to make sure customer needs and feedback are heard and prioritized. You’ll help influence the roadmap with insights from the front lines.
Improving the Process
Look for ways to make the pre-sales process better, faster, and more scalable. From refining documentation and demo strategies to optimizing team workflows, your impact here will be big.
Customer Advocacy
Bring the voice of the customer into product discussions and planning. You’ll help ensure our solutions continue to solve real problems—and evolve based on real feedback.
Post-Sales Handoff
Make sure everything transitions smoothly from pre- to post-sales. You’ll ensure Customer Success and Implementation teams have everything they need to hit the ground running.
Tracking Success
Keep an eye on key performance metrics—like time to solution, win rates, and customer satisfaction—and share updates with leadership to highlight what’s working and what could improve.
Hiring & Development
Help grow the team by leading recruitment and onboarding. You’ll also support ongoing development to make sure every team member continues to learn and level up.
What You’ll Bring:
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
A minimum of (7) years experience in Solutions Engineering – with at least 3 years experience managing a team.
A solid grasp of architecture and integrations, and a track record of building solutions that meet real customer needs.
Strong leadership and coaching abilities—you know how to motivate and support a high-performing technical team.
Experience working closely with sales teams to close complex deals and guide the technical conversation.
The ability to take technical concepts and turn them into clear business value for any audience.
Great analytical skills and a data-driven mindset when it comes to making decisions.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills—with both customers and colleagues.
