Kueski is seeking a seasoned technology leader to drive the transformation of our software engineering function, with a strong emphasis on mobile development. This role is ideal for an experienced engineering leader passionate about building world-class software solutions while fostering high-performing teams. As a key technical leader, you will define and execute the strategic vision for our software engineering teams, ensuring our products set industry standards for performance, security, and user experience. Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership
- Define and execute the strategic vision for software and mobile engineering, aligning with company objectives.
- Establish and enforce best practices for software and mobile development, including coding standards, architecture, and security.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in software and mobile technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to drive innovation.
- Guide teams in adopting new tools and technologies that enhance performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Team Management
- Lead hiring efforts to attract and retain top engineering talent.
- Mentor and grow a team of engineers, fostering their technical and professional development.
- Define roles, responsibilities, and career growth paths for software engineers.
- Build a collaborative and high-performance culture focused on excellence and innovation.
- Project and Delivery Management
- Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle of software applications, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and stakeholders to align development priorities with business objectives.
- Manage resource allocation, sprint planning, and project timelines to optimize efficiency and execution.
- Implement agile methodologies to improve development velocity, adaptability, and responsiveness.
- Technical Strategy and Architecture
- Develop and communicate the technical roadmap for software and mobile applications, ensuring scalability and long-term sustainability.
- Evaluate and select appropriate development frameworks, tools, and technologies.
- Drive architectural decisions that enhance app performance, maintainability, and cross-platform compatibility.
- Foster a culture of continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD), and DevOps practices.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, Backend Engineering, and QA, to ensure seamless software development.
- Communicate technical strategies, challenges, and opportunities to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Advocate for software-first and mobile-first strategies while contributing to the overall product roadmap.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing multiple engineering teams and delivering successful software applications.
- Expertise in mobile development technologies such as Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, React Native, and cloud services.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, architectural principles, and agile methodologies.
- Experience in software architecture, performance optimization, and security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills, with a focus on delivering business value.
- Familiarity with budgeting, resource planning, and organizational leadership.
