Job Description
Fandango360 is a marketing data SaaS product used by all major movie studios in Theatrical and Home Entertainment distribution and marketing as well as Fandango's own internal Performance Marketing teams. As a Software Engineering Director, you will lead a team of application engineers and collaborate with Product, Data Engineering, Data Science and business teams to develop critical new features and product enhancements for our end users and stakeholders. Projects will center around developing privacy-safe marketing technology feature enhancements, clean room technology, and using first party data in the most advanced ways available in the digital advertising space today.
Responsibilities:• Lead the development efforts for the studio insights product offerings for Fandango's proprietary B2B SaaS platform• Own internal APIs & external integrations with multiple platforms including major social and ad network platforms• Architect and identify tradeoffs of various solutions using Big Data technologies with collaboration with Data Engineering teams• Collaborate with Product & business stakeholders to ensure successful execution and implementation of the product roadmap in support of the company strategy.• Translate business ideas into technical solutions and provide strategic guidance• Work with Data Engineering and Data Science teams to enhance models of recommender systems, customer scoring models, NLP models for text as well as deploy traditional machine learning models for Forecasting across all lines of businesses• Provide leadership, guidance and direction for team• Work closely with data governance, legal and privacy teams to ensure compliance
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience• Deep understanding of current web & API software design patterns and principles• Experience with Serverless REST API development (AWS Lambda, Cognito, API Gateway)• Experience with Batch job development and coordination (AWS Batch, Step Functions)• Experience with Elastic Search, SQL & Database Technologies• Experience with JavaScript, ES6, Node.js, HTML5 and CSS3• Understanding of data pipelines and ETL processes.• Working knowledge of cloud technologies, infrastructure, and technical security fundamentals
Desired Characteristics:• Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)• Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.• Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across multiple functions.• Ability to lead, motivate and mobilize others as well as build and develop a high functioning agile team.• Demonstrated experience in organizing work and managing multiple potentially conflicting priorities.
Additional Desired Qualifications:• Understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms• Experience with Angular OR with other modern front-end frameworks/libraries such as React/Redux, Vue.js, Polymer, etc.
