What You'll Do
The Senior Manager, Social Media will be an experienced and award-winning social leader, known for building brand communities at scale. You will work as a collaborative part of WHY's award-winning Brand Design team and will be responsible for executing the social media strategy and engaging with our active, online community. This person will be in charge of the day-to-day management of Munchkin and Curio's social accounts. The Senior Manager, Social Media will develop creative strategies, content for boosting engagement and, drive follower growth and work cross-functionally to support current campaigns and initiatives.
How you will contribute:
Social Strategy

  • Ideate and execute new initiatives, campaigns, and projects that align with brand objectives and social media goals
  • Work with global brand partners on social media campaign development and initiatives
  • Evaluate, prioritize, and predict brand needs and have a clear understanding of what social media successes look like


Content Development

  • Ideate and develop quarterly and monthly content, inclusive of holidays, campaigns, product launches, etc.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop creative briefs for the in-house Brand Design Team.
  • Manage delivery and approval of all global content on time.
  • Ensure materials are revised, approved, and distributed to key/global stakeholders.
  • Work with cross-functional and Executive leadership, Customer Service, Creative Teams, product teams, and external partners to execute social-specific content and
  • campaigns to support brand and company goals.
  • Develop a consumer-first, as well as a platform bespoke, "reason to follow" across all @Munchkin and @Whybrands accounts


Community Management

  • Oversee a team that is best in class in terms of publishing, content production, and community management
  • Ensure all cross-functional partners are supported with clear ways of working and best practices


Measurement & Reporting

  • Prepare and present quarterly and annual reports, recap reports, and best practices with Executives and stakeholders to demonstrate channel health, community growth, and test-and-learn opportunities
  • Evaluate social platforms, tools, and services against business goals and deliver actionable POVs
  • Evolve how Why Brands and Munchkin's key consumption occasions come to life on social Identify and establish OKRs
  • Build and manage an annual budget
  • Share sound strategy, data, and best-in-class creativity to back up your intuition
  • Responsible for the social post-production workflow
  • Other duties may be assigned


You will have:

  • Minimum 7+ years' experience in social media with a potential mix of agency side and in-house, leaning on more in-house Experience building communities from the ground up
  • Experience with User Generated Content clearance workflows
  • Experience working with executives, creators, and agencies
  • Confident communicator and comfortable answering stakeholder questions clearly, concisely and quickly
  • Knowledge of what works, what doesn't, and why across various social platforms
  • Experience in content distribution channels including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest and LinkedIn
  • Experience managing social channels/platforms for a CPG brand
  • Working knowledge of the performance media space
  • Ability to navigate crises that arise on social media
  • Demonstrated case studies with culturally relevant social-first campaigns that drove community growth, built social channels/following
  • Comfortable with hands-on, executional job functions
  • Able to build strong relationships and work across many internal cross-functional teams
  • Excitement and never-ending curiosity surrounding the future of social storytelling
  • Highly collaborative - you're not afraid to lead or follow and believe in the power of "showing" your work
  • Experience working on social teams that had to launch and grow channels from scratch
  • Enthusiasm for what we are building at WHY Brands / Munchkin

Salary range: $128,000 - $155,000
