About the role

Swoop is seeking a high-performing Director of Sales, a strategic sales leader who will play a critical role within the Strategic Sales Team. In this position, you will be responsible for managing and expanding both the manufacturer and its respective agency relationships for one of the top 20 pharmaceutical companies. This is a highly visible role that requires deep experience in the pharmaceutical vertical and a proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments. You will manage the sales strategy and execution for a suite of cutting-edge DTC and HCP solutions, leveraging data-driven insights and AI technology to deliver measurable impact. Success in this role requires a strong track record in sales, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to drive growth within key accounts.

What you'll do

  • Manage and grow relationships with key pharmaceutical manufacturers and their agency partners within your assigned account list.
  • Achieve and exceed sales goals through upselling/scaling and identifying new opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Lead end-to-end sales efforts, including crafting proposals, negotiating pricing, and closing business.
  • Deliver compelling presentations to pharmaceutical manufacturers and their agencies tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure smooth campaign execution and client satisfaction.
  • Gather client feedback to refine sales tactics and improve overall account performance.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Swoop’s product offerings, industry developments, and the competitive landscape.
  • Use CRM tools to track pipeline progress, client activity, and relevant market insights.
  • Promote and share sales and industry best practices to support team growth and performance.
  • Represent Swoop professionally and positively in all external interactions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7-10 years working within ad tech, data, or digital advertising sales
  • Extensive knowledge of digital media, display, video, CTV, and, ideally, programmatic
  • Knowledge of the ad tech ecosystems required to scale premium targeted ad products; third party demand-side, data management, ad-serving, verification, and measurement platforms
  • Experience working directly with healthcare and pharma marketers and their agencies
  • Proven track record of exceptional performance, high productivity, meeting/exceeding quotas, and meeting deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to deliver customer-focused solutions
  • Demonstrated passion for targeted marketing and technology and its use in driving revenue and customer satisfaction
  • Strong ability to analyze performance data at an individual client level as well as scaling across a marketplace to help with short-term wins, while ideating and creating for long-term sustainability
  • Passion for building, including all the ambiguity, risk-taking, failure, and iteration at high rates of speed that it entails 
  • Desire to work in a rapidly growing and ever-changing environment
  • Detail oriented, well organized, flexible, comfortable working independently, with the technical aptitude to learn new technologies
  • Self-motivated with high energy and a willingness to adapt
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to bring a contagious energy, a fresh perspective, and enthusiasm to a team dedicated to delivering exceptional client experiences

The pay range for this role is:

150,000.00 - 180,000.00 USD per year + variable compensation (Remote (United States))
