WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

The Director, Sales Talent Acquisition and Growth Strategy is responsible for supporting the organic growth of Relation’s internal sales talent.  The Director leads recruitment efforts to source and attract top sales talent.  The individual in this position must have strong insurance acumen as well as a clear understanding of how to build relationships with top sales talent.  The Director develops and implements effective recruitment strategies, collaborating with sales leadership and the Talent Acquisition Team to ensure a seamless hiring process.  The Director’s main focus is building and maintaining a robust talent pipeline to meet the organization's future staffing needs.

A GLIMPSE INTO YOUR DAY

  • Implements proactive sourcing strategies to build a strong sales talent pipeline.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with passive talent and potential candidates to elevate Relation’s branding as well as achieve ambitious growth projections. 
  • Manages third-party agencies and vendor relationships, screening candidates to ensure they fit the organization's needs.
  • Designs and implements innovative recruitment strategies to attract top sales talent, including but not limited to cold calling, social media, job boards and networking to generate referrals.
  • Partners with the Talent Acquisition Team to manage LinkedIn job postings and create outbound marketing campaigns for recruiting purposes.
  • Works with internal teams to create pipelines to meet growth goals.
  • Stays updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve recruitment processes.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the sales talent needs and aligns recruitment strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborates with Marketing to create recruiting materials.
  • Provides guidance and support to Sales Leaders on recruitment-related matters.
  • Conducts preliminary interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Acts with urgency to deliver white-glove service throughout the recruiting process and provides a warm handoff to Sales Leaders.
  • Ensures timely and efficient communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Ensures all recruitment activities comply with established processes and procedures as well as federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date recruitment records and documentation.
  • Prepares and presents regular reports on recruitment activities and outcomes.
  • Plans and participates in job fairs, career events, and other recruitment activities to attract top sales talent.
  • Acts as a Relation Brand Ambassador, representing the organization at industry events and conferences.
  • Performs other projects, duties, and tasks, as assigned.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales strategy, or insurance industry roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous insurance brokerage or producer recruitment experience highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of growth strategy frameworks and market expansion tact preferred.
  • Exceptional understanding of sales roles and the skills required for success in sales positions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Professional integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Highly organized and able to pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines at one time.
  • Ability to travel in accordance with business needs.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
