Our robust profitability allows us not only to invest in pioneering technologies but also to foster an environment of continuous learning and growth for our team.

We're currently seeking passionate individuals who are excited about the opportunity to contribute to an industry-shaping company while growing their own skills and careers.

The Role:

As we continue to expand across the Americas, we’re seeking a results-driven Director of Sales to lead our team of Account Executives in acquiring new customers and driving revenue across our complete product portfolio. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping go-to-market execution, mentoring top talent, and building scalable, repeatable sales motion for a wide range of use cases—from enterprise-grade telecom to programmable Voice AI and beyond.

This role requires a strategic thinker and player-coach who’s as comfortable rolling up their sleeves in deals as they are leading a team toward aggressive growth goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership & Development:
Partner with Recruitment, onboard, and mentor a high-performing team of Account Executives, building a strong culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and execution.
  • Full-Suite Sales Enablement:
Equip the team to effectively sell across Telnyx’s product ecosystem—including voice, messaging, networking, storage, and AI-powered communication tools.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy:
Own and execute strategies to acquire new logos across mid-market and enterprise segments, and scale pipeline and bookings through consistent, process-driven execution.
  • Forecasting & Revenue Planning:
Deliver accurate pipeline reporting and forecasting via Salesforce (SFDC), with strong focus on opportunity hygiene, conversion metrics, and sales operations rigor.
  • Cross-functional Partnership:
Collaborate closely with Pre-Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and SDR teams to create an integrated revenue engine and exceptional customer experience.
  • AI-Enhanced Solution Selling:
Champion Telnyx’s AI-powered offerings, including Voice AI and real-time transcription, helping your team position these emerging solutions as part of comprehensive deals.
  • Sales Performance Optimization:
Use data to identify performance trends, remove blockers, and implement process improvements that scale.
  • Act as a Telnyx evangelist in the field—at conferences, customer sessions, and virtual events—showcasing Telnyx’s differentiated platform.
What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience building and leading successful B2B sales teams, ideally within high-growth or SaaS environments.
  • 8+ years in technology sales, with 4+ years in a leadership role.
  • Track record of success selling into SMB and Enterprise segments, with experience handling both complex and transactional sales motions.
  • Familiarity with technical products and solution selling in API- or developer-led environments.
  • Strong forecasting and sales operations discipline.
  • Highly collaborative, data-driven, and committed to coaching and growth.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience.
Bonus Points For:
  • Experience with Voice AI or other AI-powered communications technologies.
  • Experience selling APIs, PaaS, SaaS, CPaaS, infrastructure, or developer platforms.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, and other modern sales tech.
  • Background in telecom, networking, cloud infrastructure, or data platforms.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
