General Summary
The Director of Sales Operations Planning, National Accounts has responsibility for leading DSD execution playbook with our DSD Operations team and elevating our customer influence and performance to maximize growth potential.  The Director of Sales Operations will partner with Customer Vice Presidents, Area GM’s, Regional DOPS, RVP’s, ASD’s and ROM’s while building relationships with critical customer decision makers at both Kroger and Target.

A successful Director of Sales Operations Planning will have strong leadership and influencing skills and a strong drive for results.  Strong financial and technical skills, operations and sales experience are critical to success in this high impact role.  A successful National DSOP has the skill to balance upstream to the customer and downstream to the divisions to maximize the coordination and communication of programming that will drive the execution of the forecast plus support compression opportunities.

Principal Responsibilities:

•    Lead the development, coordination, and execution of the annual operating plan, ensuring alignment with DSD-specific sales and service goals
•    Provide the DSD & Customer Teams with period and quarterly data  to deliver against retailer merchandising standards and requirements
•    Alignment on division level forecast with Regional DOPS and ROM’s to enhance precision and ensure proper demand signals across the network for all major events. 
•     Identify, implement, and optimize tools and technologies that improve efficiency and execution for DSD sales teams across base business as well as incremental opportunities.
•    Partner with the AGMs, Regional DOPS, RVPs, ASDs, ROM’s and Inventory Managers to ensure operational alignment and execution excellence
•    Lead and align the implementation of customer-specific opportunities and key growth drivers, ensuring alignment with retail execution and service standards across and aligned by customer divisions (if regional nuances).
•    Drive compression selling across Kroger and Target banners by partnering with Customer Team, Regional DOPs, ROMs and Key Account Managers to prioritize high-impact categories and segments, and streamline execution for accelerated growth.  Create and localize sell decks to maximize efficiency and local intel / data.
•    Elevate inclusion and diversity as a strength throughout the organization

Job Complexity / Scope:
•    Ability to lead across multiple functions both internally and externally with ability to manage conflicting initiatives

•    Advocate and operationalize against division priorities

  • Serves as funnel for priorities in to and out of the National Accounts Team with DSD team
    •   Lead operating and communication cadence within Sales and DSD organization

Job Specifications:

•    B.A. required, 7-10 years of relevant experience
•    Strong DSD background on customer side or operations execution side
•    Experience in operations and sales
•    Requires both strategic outlook and management of day to day tasks
•    Strong technical skills and financial acumen
•    Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Working Conditions
•    Travel required (approximately 25-50%)

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between 

$158,600-$227,900

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
