The Role

The Director of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth and market share for Kitsch in the Mass Channel. This role requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of the CPG beauty market, strong relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and expand market presence within the Mass Channel
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape within the beauty industry.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, distributors, and stakeholders to drive sales and strong joint business planning process
  • Sales Forecasting: Develop accurate sales forecasts and budgets, monitoring performance against targets and adjusting strategies as needed. Partnering with Sales Planning to ensure accurate forecasts across new items launches and promotions at shelf
  • Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills working closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to align sales initiatives with overall business objectives and ensure successful product launches.
  • Performance Metrics Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sales strategies and team performance.
  • Training & Development: Provide ongoing training and support to the sales team to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques and planning and customer engagement strategies.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 7+ years of sales experience within CPG, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of retail dynamics, distribution channels, and consumer behavior in the beauty market.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on market trends and sales performance.
  • Experience with Target and Drug Channel required
