Role

As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will lead technical customer engagements for hyperscale data centers, bridging engineering expertise with strategic business development. You'll craft customized solutions for industry-leading clients while serving as the primary technical advisor throughout the sales cycle and implementation process.

Key Accountabilities

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for hyperscale and enterprise customers
  • Lead site tours, technical sales calls, and customer design reviews
  • Drive proposal generation and RFP responses with technical expertise
  • Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations that address specific client needs
  • Translate customer requirements into tailored technical solutions
  • Provide strategic insights on emerging technologies to clients and internal teams
  • Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance technical proficiency across the organization
  • Partner with sales, product development, engineering, and operations teams
  • Provide technical feedback to drive continuous product and service improvement
  • Balance technical requirements with business realities around cost, timing, and sustainability

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
  • 7+ years of hands-on technical data center engineering experience
  • Expert knowledge of data center mechanical and electrical systems
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining customer relationships
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD
  • Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel (up to 55% of time)

Preferred Skills

  • Deep understanding of data center infrastructure design, construction, and operations
  • Experience leading technical conversations with decision-makers and site selection teams
  • Strategic thinking with exceptional problem-solving abilities · Knowledge of sustainability practices in data center operations
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization
  • Experience with AI infrastructure deployments and advanced cooling solutions
