 Position SummaryThe Director of Sales, Marketing & Brand drives membership growth, event revenue, brand awareness, strategic partnerships, and marketing performance for Gravitas. This role is the steward of the Gravitas brand and leads sales, marketing, public relations, programming, and partnership initiatives that support revenue growth and strengthen the member experience.The ideal candidate is an experienced luxury lifestyle marketer and sales leader with a strong understanding of hospitality, membership organizations, events, culture, and brand development.Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue Growth & Sales Leadership

  • Develop and execute sales strategies that drive membership acquisition, retention, and engagement.
  • Lead initiatives to grow private event, corporate event, sponsorship, and food & beverage revenue.
  • Support team members responsible for membership sales, event sales, and business development.
  • Develop outbound sales campaigns, lead generation initiatives, and referral programs.
  • Identify new business opportunities that align with the Gravitas brand and member community.

Brand Strategy & Management

  • Serve as the guardian and steward of the Gravitas brand, ensuring consistency across all digital, print, social, event, membership, and public-facing touchpoints.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce brand standards, including a comprehensive Brand Book covering visual standards, messaging, tone of voice, and photography guidelines.
  • Protect the intellectual property, identity, and reputation of the organization.
  • Collaborate with leadership to evolve the brand strategy while preserving the organization's ethos and culture.

Marketing & Communications

  • Develop and execute annual marketing plans designed to increase awareness, engagement, membership growth, and revenue.
  • Manage content strategy across social media, website, email/text marketing, LinkedIn, and digital advertising.
  • Write and edit compelling copy that reflects the Gravitas voice and luxury positioning.
  • Oversee creation of marketing collateral, sales materials, membership assets, and creative content (photography, videography, and content libraries).
  • Establish clear standards and approval processes for all marketing communications.

Public Relations & Media Relations

  • Manage relationships with external PR agencies, media partners, influencers, and creative vendors.
  • Identify and secure media opportunities that enhance brand visibility and reputation.
  • Develop communications strategies for major announcements, partnerships, and programming launches.
  • Monitor brand perception and ensure public-facing communications align with company values.

Programming, Partnerships & Activations

  • Develop strategic brand partnerships, sponsorships, and collaborations that enhance the member experience and generate revenue.
  • Conceptualize cultural programming, thought leadership events, culinary experiences, and brand activations, in collaboration with operations, membership, culinary, and events teams.
  • Evaluate programming effectiveness and ROI.

Digital Marketing & Performance

  • Oversee website strategy, SEO performance, analytics, and digital user experience.
  • Manage paid advertising campaigns and audience targeting strategies.
  • Track, analyze, and report on pipeline activity, conversion metrics, campaign performance, and revenue forecasts; optimize marketing investments based on results.
  • Maintain CRM, membership databases, and marketing automation systems.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Partner with executive leadership to align sales and marketing strategies with organizational goals.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that support growth, member engagement, and brand awareness.
  • Establish performance metrics and accountability standards for marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Manage budgets, vendors, agencies, and external partners.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, collaboration, and excellence.

Requirements

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience in sales, marketing, brand management, hospitality, luxury lifestyle, membership clubs, hotels, restaurants, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth through memberships, events, partnerships, and marketing initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of luxury branding, storytelling, content strategy, and customer experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing agencies, designers, photographers, PR firms, and creative partners.
  • Knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
