POSITION SUMMARY  

The Director, Revenue Accounting leads global revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and related standards. This role manages revenue operations, drives policy development, oversees the revenue close process, and partners cross-functionally with Legal, Sales, FP&A, and Operations to support accurate reporting and scalable processes. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Own revenue recognition policies and processes globally; ensure full ASC 606 compliance. 

  • Lead monthly and quarterly revenue close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis. 

  • Review complex customer contracts and non-standard deals for proper revenue treatment. 

  • Serve as subject matter expert on revenue recognition and technical accounting matters. 

  • Prepare accounting memos and guide cross-functional stakeholders on revenue implications. 

  • Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing revenue accounting team. 

  • Maintain and enhance internal controls to support SOX compliance. 

  • Partner with Sales, Deal Desk, and Legal to evaluate contract terms and structure deals. 

  • Oversee transaction configurations in RevPro to ensure revenue compliance and accuracy. 

  • Support external and internal audit processes. 

  • Collaborate with Product Management to assess revenue impacts of new products or releases. 

  • Contribute to strategic initiatives including system implementations and M&A integration. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required. 

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years in leadership; SaaS or technology industry experience highly desirable. 

  • Strong technical expertise in U.S. GAAP and ASC 606;  

  • Proficient with ERP and revenue systems (e.g., NetSuite, RevPro, Salesforce). 

  • Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex revenue streams and multi-element arrangements. 

  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive process improvements, and manage competing priorities.

US Pay Transparency Range $150,600.00 - $180,000.00
