The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Revenue Cycle to strategically lead our healthcare customers in maximizing reimbursement and unlocking additional downstream revenue opportunities. This senior-level role will serve as both a trusted advisor and strategic partner, aligning revenue cycle strategies with customer goals while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in healthcare billing and revenue cycle management with proven customer relationship leadership, helping drive adoption, utilization, and measurable business value.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead customer engagement on all aspects of revenue cycle optimization, including fee-for-service, value-based care, Medicare/Medicaid, and commercial payer billing
  • Develop and execute strategic revenue cycle roadmaps with key accounts to drive downstream revenue opportunities
  • Serve as the senior subject matter expert for billing, coding, claims, and reimbursement across all customer engagements
  • Partner with Customer Success, Sales, and Product teams to design workflows and solutions that strengthen financial performance for customers
  • Proactively advise customers on billing trends, regulatory changes, and compliance requirements
  • Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with customer leadership to align on financial goals and success metrics
  • Build scalable frameworks, best practices, and knowledge resources to standardize revenue cycle success across the customer base
  • Provide internal leadership by mentoring billing strategists and aligning cross-functional teams around customer financial outcomes
  • Represent the organization at industry events, customer forums, and advisory boards as the voice of revenue cycle strategy

About You:

Must Haves

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in revenue cycle management, billing, or healthcare finance, including leadership roles
  • Deep understanding of claims systems, payer regulations, denial management, and healthcare reimbursement models
  • Proven track record of working with health systems, physician practices, or payer organizations to improve financial performance
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in digital health or healthcare SaaS 

Nice To Haves:

  • Advanced credentials such as RHIA, CCS-P, CHFP or CRCR

Compensation: The base salary budgeted for this position is in the $140,000-165,000 range per year. This position will also include a yearly target discretionary bonus as well as equity. The final offer determined for the candidate who is hired into this position will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant skills, professional experience, labor market conditions, etc.
