About the location:

Overlooking the Venetian Lagoon and just steps from Piazza San Marco, Danieli, a Four Seasons Hotel, Venice is an iconic property offering elegant, spacious accommodations. The historic hotel showcases majestic Venetian architecture dating back to the 14th century. Guests can also enjoy spectacular views of Venice’s landmarks from the rooftop Restaurant Terrazza Danieli.

About the Role

Responsible for the development and execution of an annual integrated plan that includes public relations, social media, and marketing communications strategies supporting the hotel’s business objectives. The role aims to increase awareness and positive perception of the hotel, its Food and Beverage outlets, Spa, services, and personnel, ultimately contributing to driving traffic and revenues.
Acts as the hotel’s representative during industry or media events and oversees all external communications activities.

What You Will Do

  • Strategic Planning & Brand Awareness
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan including earned, owned, and paid media to support the hotel’s business objectives.
  • Deploy creative content strategies across multiple owned and earned channels.
  • Manage image and reputation while working closely with operational departments on marketing and promotions.
  • Engage in media relations by actively managing professional relationships with local and regional media and influencers that benefit the hotel and company as a whole.
  • Identify and develop integrated PR and Social Media programs that capitalize on unique and newsworthy stories and leverage unexpected opportunities.

Media & Influencer Relations

  • Host media visits, pitch targeted story ideas, organize FAM trips and photoshoots, and entertain key media and influencer contacts.
  • Respond promptly to media enquiries and support social PR activities.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date media contact database, including online publications and resources.
  • Actively pitch stories to media as well as Corporate Communication channels (FS News, Four Seasons Magazine, The World of Four Seasons, and other corporate PR agencies).

Digital & Social Media Strategy

  • Oversee the hotel’s digital content strategy and manage all property social media channels.
  • Create relevant and engaging content to increase follower engagement and brand reach.
  • Ensure the hotel’s web and App presence aligns with business objectives and Four Seasons standards.
  • Leverage social media channels to amplify key messages, applying effective monitoring and evaluation tools.

Reputation & Crisis Management

  • Act as a strategic communications advisor to management by monitoring public attitudes, identifying potential risks, developing key messages, and managing issue or crisis communication.
  • Oversee online review responses and reputation management systems.
  • Analyze media coverage, competitor activity, and online sentiment to inform communication strategies.

Marketing & Partnerships

  • Collaborate with F&B and Spa teams to develop promotional and marketing activities and calendars that drive revenue and engagement.
  • Build cooperative relationships with other departments to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Manage relationships with public relations agencies to maximize exposure opportunities.
  • Oversee community relations, CSR initiatives, and VIP guest communication.
  • Assist with SEO, digital marketing, PPC, and e-commerce activities to ensure alignment across channels.

Publicity & Content Creation

  • Post press releases, story starters, staff profiles, and updates on the hotel’s press room regularly.
  • Create innovative publicity programs addressing specific needs outlined in the marketing plan.
  • Maximize opportunities for publicity through research and targeted editorial pitching.
  • Develop and maintain a current image library and video footage to maximize media coverage.
  • Ensure all promotions, advertising, and collateral reflect Four Seasons’ brand standards and professionalism.
  • Proofread all marketing material, including collateral, direct mail, and guest correspondence.
  • Provide a friendly and professional service that always exceeds guests’ expectations.
  • Adhere to hotel policies regarding Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety, and comply with local legislation.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and uphold hotel grooming standards.
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration through The Golden Rule.
  • Remain flexible to adapt duties as required by business needs or management direction.
  • Attend training sessions and complete projects as assigned by the Director of Marketing, Corporate PR, or General Manager.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in Public Relations, Communications, or Marketing within luxury hospitality.
  • Established media and influencer network with strong editorial pitching skills.
  • Deep understanding of digital communication platforms and content creation.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills in English and Italian.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience managing agencies, events, and high-profile relationships.
    Understanding of brand standards and storytelling in a luxury environment.

Schedule & Location

  • Full-time position based at Hotel Danieli, Venice.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Legal right to work in Italy and fluency in both English and Italian required.
