YOUR MISSION
As the Director of Program Finance at True Anomaly, you will own and scale the Program Controls function across a growing portfolio of space security products and programs. You will establish the policies, systems, and team that become the financial backbone of True Anomaly's program execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead and scale a team of program finance professionals, providing mentorship and career development across multiple product portfolios and programs
- Scale, and continuously improve program finance policies and processes, including EAC methodology, revenue recognition, and cost reporting standards
- Own the quarterly EAC process for all customer-funded programs in accordance with ASC 606 revenue recognition principles
- Ensure program compliance and partner with Accounting and PMO to ensure readiness for customer and government surveillance audits (DCMA, GAO)
- Partner cross-functionally with PMO, Supply Chain Management, Contracts, and Operations to plan, execute, and deliver against program objectives
- Evaluate existing systems and drive implementation of new ones across ERP, EPM, and program management tooling to build a cohesive Program Finance infrastructure
- Prepare and deliver cost and schedule reporting (CPR, ADRLs, CDRLs) for external customers; represent True Anomaly in customer-facing financial interactions
- Prepare and own IRAD budgets, program cost analysis and reporting
- Develop program financial forecasts for executive leadership and the Board of Directors
- Collaborate with PMO on risk and opportunity register, ensuring risks are identified, quantified, and mitigated
- Partner across Finance, with PMO, and Business Development on strategic planning, pricing, and proposals
Qualifications
- 10+ years of finance experience in aerospace or defense, with deep expertise in program controls and government contracting
- Knowledgeable on EVMS, including design and management of EVMS systems
- Track record of leading and developing program finance teams across multiple programs or portfolios
- Understanding of GAAP (ASC 606)
- Strong understanding of FAR/DFARS, CAS, and government financial reporting requirements (CPR, IPMR)
- Experience evaluating and implementing program finance systems
- Demonstrated ability to build scalable processes in a high-growth, resource-constrained environment
- Clear and effective communicator across program teams, executive leadership, and government customers
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA preferred
Compensation
- Base Salary: $180,000 – $250,000
- Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO, and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave
Additional Requirements
- Work Location – We observe an in-person work environment, and expect 4 days per week in office at the Company's Denver, CO headquarters or at our facility in Long Beach, California
- Security Clearance – Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance required
