Director, Product

At Choozle, we believe complexity should never stand in the way of success. We are a remote-first digital advertising software company that simplifies programmatic advertising for growth brands and agencies. Our self-service Demand-Side Platform (DSP) leverages detailed consumer data to power high-impact digital advertising campaigns across display, video, mobile, Connected TV (CTV), and Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH).

As we scale our platform to capture new market opportunities, we are seeking a visionary, commercially-minded Director, Product to champion our product strategy, align our engineering investments with business needs, and drive the next era of platform innovation.

As the Director of Product, you will be a key member of the executive leadership team, owning the overarching product vision, strategy, and lifecycle for the Choozle platform. You will be responsible for tracking macroeconomic and adtech market trends to ensure Choozle remains highly competitive, while translating complex commercial business needs into a ruthlessly prioritized, high-ROI product roadmap.

You will lead a high-performing product and engineering  organization to deliver enterprise-grade adtech solutions wrapped in an intuitive, self-service user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market-Aligned Product Strategy: Define and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with shifting adtech market dynamics (e.g., identity resolution post-cookie deprecation, first-party data activation, and the expansion of CTV/Retail Media). Ensure Choozle is positioned as an industry leader.
  • Business Alignment & Prioritization: Deeply understand Choozle’s business model, financial goals, and cross-functional needs (Sales, Customer Success, Marketing). Act as the ultimate gatekeeper of the product roadmap, ruthlessly prioritizing initiatives based on business value, revenue impact, and customer retention.
  • Agile Execution & Delivery: Champion a high-velocity, modern Agile culture. Partner closely with Engineering to ensure product is aligned, sprint goals are mapped to strategic business outcomes, and cross-functional blockages are cleared efficiently.
  • Abstracting Technical Complexity: Protect Choozle’s core value proposition: simplifying programmatic. Ensure that complex background infrastructure—such as real-time bidding, multi-touch attribution, and data syndication—is delivered to the user through an elegant, intuitive, self-service UI.
  • Leadership & Communication: Serve as the internal and external evangelist for Choozle’s product vision. Deliver transparent updates to the Board of Directors, executive leadership team, and key enterprise clients regarding roadmap progression, market positioning, and product ROI.
  • Team Scaling & Culture: Mentor, scale, and inspire a world-class team.  Establish a culture of data-driven decision-making, strict accountability, and empathy for the end-user.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive product management experience, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role  within the Adtech or Martech ecosystems (DSP, SSP, DMP, or Ad Server experience highly preferred).
  • Market & Business Acumen: Proven track record of aligning product strategy with commercial business goals. Strong financial literacy and experience managing product lines to specific revenue or margin targets.
  • Agile & Technical Mastery: Deep experience working alongside Agile engineering teams in a continuous deployment environment. Comprehensive technical understanding of programmatic infrastructure, including RTB protocols, OpenRTB specifications, and modern identity resolution frameworks.
  • Executive Presence: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Ability to command a room, influence executive stakeholders, defend prioritization decisions with data, and synthesize complex market trends into actionable clarity.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
