Description

OX Security secures the AI-driven SDLC from prompt to production. We eliminate critical, real-time risks from AI code generation through cloud runtime by doing what conventional tools can't: unifying development and cloud context to stop vulnerabilities right at the source. At OX, we're building the future of cybersecurity for the AI era. If you're looking to work on disruptive technology with an exceptional team, you belong here.

We're growing rapidly and looking for a Director of Product Marketing to define how OX is positioned in the market, tell our product story, and enable our global go-to-market organization to win.

This is a highly strategic, cross-functional leadership role where you'll partner closely with Product, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and executive leadership. You'll own product positioning, messaging, competitive strategy, product launches, and sales enablement while becoming the voice of the customer across the company.

If you're a strategic thinker, an exceptional storyteller, and passionate about cybersecurity, AI, and building category-defining products, we'd love to meet you.

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own OX's product positioning, messaging, and value proposition across our platform and solutions.
  • Develop differentiated messaging that resonates with security leaders, developers, DevOps teams, and executive buyers.
  • Lead competitive intelligence by analyzing competitors' products, positioning, pricing, and go-to-market strategies, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Become the voice of the customer by deeply understanding customer needs, buying journeys, and market trends, and bringing those insights into Product, Marketing, and Sales.
  • Drive successful product launches by partnering with Product Management, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing from planning through execution and measurement.
  • Build and deliver world-class sales enablement materials, including presentations, battlecards, solution briefs, customer stories, whitepapers, and launch assets.
  • Partner with Product leadership on pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategy to accelerate revenue growth.
  • Represent OX externally through thought leadership, webinars, analyst briefings, speaking engagements, and strategic customer interactions.
  • Help build and scale the Product Marketing function as the company continues its rapid growth.
Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience developing product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies for technical products.
  • Strong competitive intelligence and market research capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
  • A natural storyteller who knows how to connect product capabilities with customer value.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing.
  • Highly autonomous, hands-on, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in AI Security, Application Security, DevSecOps, or CNAPP.
  • Experience working with industry analysts or a background in journalism, research, or analyst relations.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
