At Zapier, we build and use automation every day to make work more efficient, creative, and human. So if you’re using AI tools while applying here - that’s great! We just ask that you use them responsibly and transparently.
Check out our guidance on How to Collaborate with AI During Zapier’s Hiring Process, including how to use AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or others during our hiring process - and when not to.
Zapier is hiring a Director of Product Marketing to lead our next phase of growth. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role. You’ll own how we position Zapier to buyers, evolve our GTM motion to match rapid product innovation, and manage a team at the edge of AI-driven marketing.
You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing leadership to define where we play, how we win, and what our true moat is. You’ll move the team from traditional, campaign-based launches to a more continuous, insight-driven GTM engine, one that keeps pace with how fast we’re shipping.
If you’re someone who can zoom out to define strategy and zoom in to rewrite a deck, challenge a product roadmap, or jump into a sales deal, you’ll thrive here.
About You
8+ years of experience in product marketing or related roles, with meaningful time spent in B2B SaaS and enterprise GTM
Led and developed high-performing teams, ideally managing managers or senior ICs, and know how to raise the bar while moving fast
Both strategic and hands-on. You can define positioning at the company level and also get into the details of messaging, decks, and campaigns
Strong product intuition. You’re comfortable debating with Product and Engineering on roadmap priorities, differentiation, and long-term moat
Understand enterprise sales deeply. You’ve partnered closely with Sales, influenced deal strategy, and built GTM motions that support complex, multi-stakeholder buying processes
Experience evolving GTM models before, moving from big launches to more iterative, continuous release cycles
Excited about AI, not just as a feature, but as a fundamental shift in how products are built, marketed, and sold
High bar for clarity and quality, and you push teams to communicate simply, even when the product is complex
What You’ll Do
Define and drive positioning and narrative: Establish clear, differentiated positioning for Zapier’s platform and products, grounded in customer needs
Shape product strategy and moat: Partner with Product and Engineering to influence roadmap decisions, ensuring we’re building toward a durable competitive advantage
Transform our GTM motion: Evolve the team from traditional launch cycles to a continuous, release-driven model aligned with product velocity and sales needs
Align with enterprise sales: Build tight partnerships with Sales leadership to ensure our messaging, packaging, and enablement directly support pipeline and revenue
Lead and develop the PMM team: Manage a team of ~7 PMMs, setting a high bar for performance, clarity, and impact while creating space for speed and experimentation
Drive AI-forward marketing: Push the team to adopt AI in how we create, test, and scale messaging, while also shaping how we position Zapier in an AI-first world
Ensure consistency across the funnel: Partner with Brand, Content, and Demand Gen to deliver a cohesive, compelling story from first touch through close
The anticipated application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later, or if the position is filled.
Even though we’re an all-remote company, we still need to be thoughtful about where we have Zapiens working. Check out this resource for a list of countries where we currently cannot have Zapiens permanently working.
