Lead the product marketing strategy at Tackle, focusing on Cloud GTM, collaborating with various teams, and developing product positioning, messaging, and content for successful launches and initiatives.
Tackle is the leading solution built to help software companies generate revenue through a data-driven Cloud go-to-market (Cloud GTM). Our Platform and our team come together to help our customers identify the right buyers, grow cloud co-sell relationships, and transact efficiently at scale through AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft.
Tackle works with more than 500 software companies including CrowdStrike, HashiCorp, New Relic, Snyk and many more at every stage—from companies scaling their go-to-market to the largest software companies in the world. We are venture backed by three of the world's top SaaS investors—a16z, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Coatue—to execute on our mission to positively transform the way that software is sold.
As the Director of Product Marketing, you’ll lead the development and execution of go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and messaging that sets Tackle apart in a highly competitive landscape. This role will own day-to-day operations and long-term product marketing strategy, so we are looking for a candidate who brings expertise, versatility, and an enthusiasm for getting into the details. In this role, you'll be building out the Product Marketing and Content strategy and leading a team of product marketers, content writers, and graphic designers. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will partner closely with Product, Sales, CX, Partners, and the rest of Marketing to act as a catalyst for change while developing and driving key initiatives and cross-functional programs to strengthen our Cloud GTM leadership position.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and own our Cloud go-to-market narrative, Tackle Platform positioning, and value proposition while working cross-functionally to translate that into GTM strategy, plans, and campaigns.
- Collaborate with product management and go-to-market leadership to develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with our buyer and user personas.
- Plan and execute product and feature launches, utilizing multi-channel communication to inform prospects, partners, and customers of these announcements and drive them to adopt new features.
- Spearhead content development across various platforms for Tackle (blogs, videos, website content, webinars, newsletters, etc.)
- Partner with our GTM leadership team to deliver successful product enablement programs and training, including assets such as sales decks, product datasheets, case studies, and ROI benefits.
- Deeply understand the current competitive landscape—stay on top of competitive moves and create tools to support go-to-market understanding.
- Bring customer insights to internal stakeholders by speaking with customers directly via our Customer Advisory Board to understand how they use the Tackle Platform and what we could build to delight them.
- Provide input into Tackle’s product strategy and pricing/packaging based on market and customer research findings, industry analyst interactions, and competitive findings.
- Become a Tackle evangelist and cross-functional leader who unites Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to drive business results.
You Should Have:
- 7-10 years of experience leading and scaling a Product Marketing team at a SaaS company. Experience working with the Cloud Providers (AWS, Microsoft, or Google Cloud) is highly desirable
- Experience supporting product-led and sales-led GTM motions
- Experience with being part of a team to drive pricing and packaging decisions for SaaS products
- Exceptional storytelling and communication skills with the ability to turn complex data, technology, and concepts into clear communications
- A player-coach mentality: ability to think strategically with a focus on measurable outcomes, but is willing to roll up your sleeves with your team to execute on plans
- Ability to thrive in a remote-first setting with stakeholders in multiple time zones
- Growth mindset: comfortable with undefined processes and experimentation; excited to work on new initiatives that fuel growth
