About Telnyx

Telnyx is an industry leader that's not just imagining the future of global connectivity—we're building it. From architecting and amplifying the reach of a private, global, multi-cloud IP network, to bringing hyperlocal edge technology right to your fingertips through intuitive APIs, we're shaping a new era of seamless interconnection between people, devices, and applications.

We're driven by a desire to transform and modernize what's antiquated, automate the manual, and solve real-world problems through innovative connectivity solutions. As a testament to our success, we're proud to stand as a financially stable and profitable company. Our robust profitability allows us not only to invest in pioneering technologies but also to foster an environment of continuous learning and growth for our team.

Our collective vision is a world where borderless connectivity fuels limitless innovation. By joining us, you can be part of laying the foundations for this interconnected future. We're currently seeking passionate individuals who are excited about the opportunity to contribute to an industry-shaping company while growing their own skills and careers.

The opportunity

We're looking for a Director or VP of Product Marketing to lead that effort globally. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can connect deep technical understanding with positioning, distribution and commercial results. The title will reflect the experience and scope of the person we hire.

A good product story matters, but a story alone isn't enough. The person in this role needs to turn our infrastructure into clear customer problems we solve, compelling reasons to choose Telnyx and practical ways to try it. A great sample application, integration or reference architecture can do more than another 30-slide deck. So can a precise message that reaches a developer at the moment they are deciding how to build.

You'll work across Product, Engineering, Developer Relations, Sales and Marketing to bring those pieces together. You'll help shape what we launch, how we explain it, how buyers discover it and how our field teams take it to market.

What you'll build
  • A coherent product story. Own positioning, segmentation and competitive differentiation across AI inference, Voice AI, agent and edge infrastructure, communications, networking and wireless. Make the full platform understandable without flattening the technical details that make it valuable.
  • Solutions people can actually use. Drive the packaging of sample apps, reference architectures, integrations, templates and working demos that prove what the infrastructure makes possible. Build repeatable plays for use cases such as contact centers, agent assist and industry-specific workflows. These should accelerate adoption and enterprise sales, not become disconnected software products.
  • Distribution that reaches technical buyers. Shape how we win discovery through product pages, developer content, SEO, answer engine optimization (AEO), technical communities and paid acquisition. You won't necessarily operate every campaign, but you must understand the mechanics deeply enough to direct them: search and answer-engine visibility, technical site structure, intent, targeting, conversion paths, attribution and economics.
  • A field-ready commercial engine. Give enterprise sellers, FDEs and solutions teams the pitches, discovery frameworks, architecture diagrams, competitive proof, demos and ROI narratives they need to generate and advance opportunities. Translate platform capabilities into buying reasons for developers, technical executives and enterprise decision-makers.
  • Launches that translate into adoption. Work with Product and Engineering early, not after something ships. Choose the audience, packaging and launch strategy, then measure activation, qualified demand, field utilization and downstream pipeline. Build an operating cadence that keeps pace with a rapidly changing roadmap.
  • An AI-native PMM team. Use AI research tools, coding assistants, agents and automation as part of everyday work to accelerate market research, competitive analysis, messaging tests, content production, demo development and go-to-market execution. Know when to trust those tools, how to evaluate outputs and where human technical judgment still matters. Lead the team to operate the same way.
How we'll measure success

The ultimate measure is pipeline. Not the number of launches, assets, impressions or campaigns. We expect this leader to partner closely with Demand Generation and Sales to create measurable, qualified pipeline, improve conversion and accelerate opportunities. Product marketing should be able to show how specific product narratives, solutions, integrations and programs contribute to commercial results.

Early wins will look like a dramatically clearer platform story; a small number of flagship use cases with runnable demos and integrations; sellers using consistent, technically credible plays; stronger discovery and conversion from search, AEO and paid channels; and a repeatable link from product launches to adoption and pipeline. We care about what works and scales, not activity for its own sake.

What we're looking for
  • You've led product marketing for a complex B2B technical platform, ideally in AI infrastructure, developer tools, APIs, cloud, networking or communications. You can be strategic without becoming removed from the work.
  • You are technically fluent. You can understand architecture, work with APIs or SDKs, interrogate a latency or cost claim and talk comfortably with engineers. You don't have to be a production engineer, but you need to know when a demo is real and when it's just a pitch.
  • You understand modern technical acquisition. You're credible directing AEO, SEO, paid programs and developer-focused content, and can connect channel-level metrics to funnel economics and qualified pipeline.
  • You're already effective with AI tools and agents in your own work. You experiment, build workflows and use the technology to move faster. Familiarity with the limitations and evaluation of AI-generated outputs is as important as enthusiasm for the tools.
  • You write exceptionally well, have strong instincts for enterprise sales, and know how to turn a complex product advantage into a clear reason to buy.
  • You've built or led strong teams, can prioritize across competing launches and products, and enjoy working directly with product leaders and technical builders.

Telecom experience is not required. Technical curiosity, taste, speed and a track record of generating commercial impact matter more.

Why Telnyx

This is a chance to shape the market narrative for a company that owns the underlying network, communications and compute infrastructure it sells. The platform is real, customers are deploying it in production, and the commercial opportunity is substantial. You'll have direct access to senior leadership and the ability to build a PMM function measured by its contribution to growth.

Equal opportunity

Telnyx is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants from different backgrounds and evaluate candidates based on the skills and experience relevant to the role.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
