Senior Director of Product Management, Music Experience & Hardware

Location: USA (currently hybrid with up to 50% remote)

Your mission in the Product Management team:
We're seeking a Director of Product Management, Music Experience & Hardware to lead the strategy, roadmap, and evolution of our consumer music experience across tens of millions of our fans, our mobile app and fleet of 65,000 jukeboxes.

Reporting to the SVP of Product, you will lead a team of product managers and designers. Together, your team owns how patrons discover, select, play, and pay for music in the venues and locations on our network, and the jukeboxes they do it on.

You will partner closely with Engineering, Program Management, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, and Finance to align product strategy and execution with our business goals and the needs of our consumers and venues.

You will build a high-performing product and design team that delivers on our core business goals: growing venues, players, and plays, and increasing monetization.

This is a player-coach role: you will grow the team while staying hands-on with the roadmap every day.
You'll own a product experience that shows up in real venues, in front of real people, every night. You'll lead at the moment we're defining new hardware and bringing mobile and in-venue music together into one experience. That's a rare chance to shape what's next for a company built around music.

Your Day-To-Day:
Own the strategy and roadmap

  • Define and implement a strategy for music discovery, selection, and play across the mobile app and the jukebox hardware and software, grounded in what patrons and venues need.
  • Drive every step of the consumer funnel, from install and sign-up to purchase and play. Find where the leaks are and figure out how to plug them.  Or better yet, build a better funnel that grows usage by 11x.
  • Own the jukebox experience end to end, from the moment a venue activates a jukebox to the moment a patron picks and plays a song, including the hardware and software that make it work.
  • Build a multi-year vision that grows TouchTunes beyond today's core locations and business: find the adjacent markets, new in-venue experiences, and new revenue streams worth pursuing, and make the business case to go after them.

Lead and grow the team

  • Manage a team of product managers and designers working on our consumer app and music hardware products, with clear spheres of ownership and expectations so each person can succeed.
  • Advocate for your team's growth, coach them on best practices, and keep everyone working from a shared product development process.
  • Integrate AI across the product lifecycle to work faster and smarter, and coach your team to build AI into the products they ship.  You should be the tip of the AI sword for the company; you don’t fear The Terminator – you want to build R2-D2.

Make decisions with data

  • Use product analytics, A/B testing, benchmarking, internal and external feedback and market research to inform and set roadmap priorities.  Always tie it to the business outcome, or customer happiness, or both.
  • Define, monitor, and report on the key metrics for consumer and hardware success, such as active jukeboxes, sign-ups, paid plays, plays per player, and credits per play.
  • You believe that perfection is the enemy of good, and you move like that.

Bring the organization together

  • Combine multiple roadmaps (mobile, jukebox software, and hardware) into one plan, and partner with Engineering leadership to deliver it across teams with well-vetted effort sizing.
  • Communicate the vision, roadmap, and plans to the executive team and across the business, and represent your area in company-wide and leadership meetings.

Be the voice of the customer

  • Lead research into patron and venue needs and trends, including usability research with your design team, and turn what you learn into the problems worth solving.  Talk to users and fans.
  • Work with Sales and venue-facing teams to understand market potential, the competitive landscape, and what venues need from the experience.

Your profile:

  • 10+ years of product management experience in B2C products, including 5 years leading teams of product managers and/or designers.
  • A track record of driving growth across the consumer funnel (acquisition, onboarding, conversion, engagement, retention, and win-back) in products with in-app purchases, subscriptions, or similar monetization models.
  • Strong analytical skills and hands-on experience with Mixpanel, Amplitude, or a comparable product analytics tool. You are comfortable building a roadmap from data-driven insights.
  • Experience combining multiple roadmaps and programs into a unified strategy and presenting it confidently to executives.
  • A growth mindset and sound judgment. You spot, size, and scope the opportunities in an existing product, form a point of view backed by evidence, and align a room around it.
  • A collaborative, curious style. This role touches many parts of our business, so you build strong partnerships and want to learn how every part of it works.
  • If presented with being lean, or strategic, you lean towards lean product management that you can test and learn, always with an eye on the horizon

Even better if you have:

  • Experience with hardware, connected-device, or public touchscreen products (such as kiosks), including industrial design and manufacturing partnerships.
  • Experience partnering with marketing teams on lifecycle and loyalty programs to improve acquisition, retention, and customer LTV.
  • A love of music. We're a music company, and that enthusiasm matters in our day-to-day work.

What’s in it for you:

At TouchTunes, your work impacts our customers as part of interesting projects that transform the in-venue entertainment industry. We foster open communication and collaboration across all levels, with approachable leaders that value all voices and empower you to excel and innovate. What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
