This role sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Revenue, and Customer Success. The Director will shape how data is collected, governed, modeled, activated, and monetized across a complex multi-tenant retail media and commerce ecosystem. The ideal candidate combines strong product leadership, deep data fluency, and the ability to translate ambiguous business needs into scalable, high-impact platforms and products.
Responsibilities Include:
- Define and execute the multi-year roadmap architecture for ETL pipelines, telemetry, identity, storage, transformation, and activation layers
- Partner with Engineering and Analytics Engineering to evolve scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient data architecture
- Establish product requirements for client telemetry, event tracking standards, and data quality frameworks
- Drive governance, privacy, and compliance alignment across retailer and advertiser data flows
- Lead initiatives that improve data completeness, accuracy, and trust, especially where incomplete or inconsistent data impacts business KPIs
- Develop and scale reporting, dashboards, and self-serve analytics capabilities for internal teams and external partners
- Balance foundational platform investments with high-revenue product domains such as audience optimization, personalized advertising, rebates, and promotional systems
- Align data strategy with adjacent domains including loyalty, rewards, ecommerce, challenges, and catalog intelligence
- Evaluate trade-offs between technical debt reduction and new feature development to maximize long-term platform health and business impact
- Partner with Data Science to deliver ML-powered personalization, audience optimization, and predictive insights
- Translate experimentation, modeling, and algorithmic outputs into usable and explainable product features
- Identify and prioritize AI opportunities that drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and competitive differentiation
- Mentor Product Managers focused on data and AI initiatives
- Serve as the connective tissue between Product, Engineering, Data Science, Design, Revenue, and Operations
- Establish intake, prioritization, and roadmap governance processes for data-related initiatives across the organization
- Communicate vision, progress, and outcomes to executive leadership and stakeholders with clarity and credibility
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 8–12+ years in Product Management, with significant experience in data platforms, analytics, or AI/ML-driven products
- Proven experience managing data-driven products and leading cross-functional teams
- Strong understanding of data ingestion processes, ETL, data warehousing, and reporting technologies
- Experience with personalization algorithms, recommendation systems, and machine learning applications
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make data-informed decisions
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Proven ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve strategic priorities
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical details and high-level strategy to a diverse audience
- Experienced in addressing executive leadership, supporting the sales cycle, and handling sensitive customer issues
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and online services management
- Skilled at collaborating across diverse teams and complex organizations to drive results
- Experience leading technology discussions related to product decisions and strategy
- Demonstrated experience in managing roadmap strategy, feature delivery, and product trade-offs
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in retail media, ad tech, martech, ecommerce, or multi-tenant SaaS platforms
- Prior experience in the advertising technology space is a strong plus
- Experience with attribution modeling, incrementality testing, or performance marketing analytics
