Job requirements

About the Role

Aptia is seeking a digital product leader to shape and scale our employee-facing experience—including our web platform, mobile app, and employee communication capabilities. As Product Manager - Employee Experience, you will define and drive the strategy for how users interact with Aptia’s offerings across digital touchpoints.

This role sits at the intersection of design, technology, and behavior - focused on creating intuitive, inclusive, and engaging experiences that support employees throughout their benefits journey. You’ll be responsible for delivering consumer-grade usability, personalization, and content that drives understanding, adoption, and impact. This is a hybrid role in our new office in Lake Mary, FL for a minimum of 3 days in office per week.

What you'll be doing
  • Own the product vision, roadmap, and execution for Aptia’s digital employee experience, spanning web, mobile, and personalized communications

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across Product, Design, Engineering, Content, and Operations to deliver experiences that are elegant, scalable, and high-impact

  • Conduct user research and leverage analytics to deeply understand employee needs, pain points, and behaviors

  • Prioritize features and capabilities that enhance moments that matter - onboarding, life events, benefit decisions, and everyday support

  • Drive personalization, accessibility, and relevance in content and experience across digital channels

  • Define and track KPIs tied to engagement, satisfaction, usability, and conversion - continuously improving product performance

  • Stay ahead of trends in digital UX, employee enablement, mobile design, and AI-powered personalization to keep Aptia at the forefront of the space

  • Represent the voice of the user in internal forums and help elevate the importance of employee experience across the enterprise

What we're looking for
  • 10+ years of product management experience, with a strong track record in employee-facing digital experiences, HR tech, or consumer-grade B2B platforms

  • Demonstrated success owning product strategy and execution for web and/or mobile applications

  • Experience designing and optimizing digital user journeys that drive engagement, clarity, and retention

  • Familiarity with tools and trends in digital communications, content management, and user engagement

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, and client teams

  • Analytical and outcomes-driven approach—skilled at setting KPIs, measuring impact, and using data to prioritize

  • Passion for building inclusive, accessible products that serve diverse populations

  • Bonus: Experience in health tech, benefits, or people-centric SaaS products

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
