Summary:

Are you looking for an opportunity to lead talented engineering teams in the legal industry while using cloud technologies to solve complex issues in the legal space?  Do you enjoy working with large, unstructured data sets that can reach over a petabyte in size?  We are looking for a highly motivated and talented leader to join our team that builds and maintains Epiq Discovery, a leading eDiscovery platform capable of handling complex legal matters around the globe.

The successful candidate will help deliver our vision for modern cloud operations, working together with Product Management, Client Services and other stakeholders in the organization. The person will be a thought leader driving the cloud/SaaS capabilities of Epiq Discovery, and a tremendous team player that builds connections across the organization.

This is a hands-on role, so we are looking for someone that can not only help set our vision to advance this capability but also help implement that vision, leading a global team of engineers.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead a cross-disciplinary Agile development teams, consisting of Software Engineers, Quality Assurance Analysts, Automation Engineers, and Product Owners

Own the design, development and support of Epiq Discovery including deployment tools, automation, and cloud operations

Participate in architecture and design sessions to help build new features into the platform

Guide the personal and professional development of all team managers and specialties

Collaborate with business stakeholders and the product management team to develop our long-term roadmap for the platform

Hire and retain talented software professionals across various functional areas

Interact with other technical stakeholders to ensure our CI/CD workflow performs efficiently

Establish and monitor application performance goals and monitoring

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum of 10 years of technology leadership experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience leading Big Data / Data Ingestion based teams building Business Intelligence solutions

High energy, proactive and approachable personality who enjoys solving diverse problems

Strong oral and written communication skills

Proficient with Agile Development Methodologies including Scrum and Kanban

Proficient with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, or other cloud technologies

Experience working with distributed search engines such as Elasticsearch or AWS OpenSearch

Experience with object oriented languages such as Java and/or C#

Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, including Angular, React, Vue etc.

Experience with relational database systems such as MySQL, Oracle or SQL Server

Master’s degree in a related field highly desirable
