About the Role

We are hiring a Director of Product, Core Platform & Mobile to build and lead a team focused on unifying user experience across PandaDoc’s web and mobile applications.

Surfaces is where PandaDoc meets its users every day. This team is responsible for creating elegant, fast, and reliable experiences across mobile, web, and recipient-facing touchpoints. As Director of Product for Surfaces, you will own the experience layer of our platform—how customers and their recipients interact with documents, collaborate, and navigate the product across web, mobile and chat/ai.

In this role, you will:

You will lead a cross-functional product group that spans:

  • Mobile: Our iOS and Android applications and mobile-first experiences.
  • Recipient Experience: The PandaDoc document viewing, signing, and collaboration surface with 5M+ MAUs.
  • Collaboration: In-document and cross-document collaboration features that drive adoption and retention.
  • Design Framework Adoption: In partnership with our VPUX, you will ensure our UI kit, design system, and visual language are adopted consistently across teams.
  • Critical Flows & UX: You will lead teams polishing our top user journeys (create, send, sign, pay) and improving information architecture across the platform.

This role is ideal for a product leader who thrives at the intersection of usability, design, and scale.

About you:
  • 8+ years of product management and design experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong background in user experience, design systems, and collaboration products; experience scaling recipient-facing surfaces (consumer-grade SaaS or marketplace a plus).
  • Proven success shipping mobile apps at scale .
  • Track record of improving critical flows and IA in a complex product.
  • Well versed in agentic AI, technical and hands-on enough to build your own agents.
  • Exceptional leadership skills: able to inspire, mentor, and drive alignment across multiple product areas.
  • Analytical and data-driven, but equally comfortable advocating for usability and design polish. Comfortable saying “No” to features and initiatives that promote local maximums at the expense of the over-all product experience.
  • Passionate about making complex workflows simple, intuitive, and delightful.
  • Based in Europe or US East Coast.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
