We are looking for a leader to build a world-class People team at Bold. This hire will help with all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from managing recruiting processes and leading performance reviews, to onboarding new employees and organizing onsites. The ideal candidate will be a culture leader within Bold, helping us define and maintain what makes Bold a special place to work. As a hybrid team, it is vital that we create opportunities for individuals within and across various teams to bond and communicate, and this hire will help craft those experiences. The ideal candidate will also have a passion for helping individuals grow and thrive professionally, and they will play a role in building out professional development coursework for our team. 

The ideal candidate is intellectually curious and eager to learn more about the business of healthcare, the science of aging, and the practice of building high-performing organizations. They are empathetic and extroverted, organized and detail-oriented, creative and entrepreneurial. This is a full-time role located in Santa Monica and will report to our Chief Operating Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage recruiting processes and ensure that we maintain consistently high standards for new hires
  • Build employee education and onboarding programs; coach managers and individual contributors on their professional development
  • Create memorable, salient experiences that shape our culture, including in-person onsites, events for remote employees, and volunteering events in LA
  • Run biannual performance reviews and our annual compensation review
  • Work as a member of our leadership team on solving cross-functional problems facing the business 

Who you are*:

  • You have 5+ years of people management experience at a high-performing organization or startup*
  • You are creative, proactive, and excited about exploring new ideas that will help us build a stronger team
  • You are eager to work with focused intensity
  • You actively seek out feedback and collaborate often with leaders and subject matter experts to improve your output and your broader skillset
  • You are ambitious and want to build something noteworthy in healthtech
  • You love building businesses - the idea that your work can help accelerate the growth of an early-stage startup is motivating to you

Compensation: 

We’re committed to an inclusive, consistent, and equitable approach to compensation and anticipate that this position will earn between $150k-190k annually. The exact salary will depend on the amount of relevant and transferable experience you bring to the role. You will also receive meaningful equity in the form of a stock option grant.
