Functional Leadership & Accountability

  • Direct and develop multiple functional areas within PTS through subordinate managers, including Workday platform delivery, recruiting systems (Greenhouse), contingent workforce systems (Beeline), learning platforms (Absorb), and service delivery operations.

  • Hold end-to-end accountability for service performance, including delivery quality, platform stability, SLA adherence, and stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Make final decisions on operational priorities, tradeoffs, and execution within the People Technology portfolio.

Service Delivery & Operational Excellence

  • Establish and enforce operating mechanisms for intake, prioritization, Agile delivery, release management, and incident response.

  • Drive measurable improvements in service quality, case management efficiency, and overall employee experience.

  • Ensure systems and processes meet global regulatory, data privacy, and security requirements.

Platform Roadmap & Solution Leadership

  • Translate People & Places strategy into a clear, sequenced People Technology roadmap aligned with enterprise architecture and business priorities.

  • Partner with stakeholders to define solutions that balance business value, technical feasibility, and long-term sustainability.

  • Leverage deep understanding of HR processes and platform capabilities to guide solution design, adoption, and evolution.

  • Promote simplification, standardization, and automation, including the responsible use of AI and advanced analytics.

Stakeholder Engagement & Consulting Leadership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to People Operations, Talent, and cross-functional leaders, providing both strategic perspective and practical solution guidance.

  • Lead structured engagement with stakeholders to understand business needs, shape demand, and align on priorities and outcomes.

  • Communicate clearly across all levels, translating complex technical concepts into actionable business insights.

  • Build credibility through consistent delivery, informed recommendations, and transparent decision-making.

People Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a global team of managers and senior specialists, establishing clear accountability and performance expectations.

  • Build a culture of ownership, curiosity, continuous learning, and disciplined execution.

  • Ensure appropriate capability coverage across functional and technical domains, addressing gaps through hiring, development, and role clarity.

Financial & Resource Management

  • Own planning, staffing, and resource allocation across the PTS function, ensuring alignment to business priorities and demand.

  • Manage budget and vendor spend within the People Technology portfolio, driving cost discipline and value realization.

  • Oversee third-party vendors and AMS relationships, ensuring performance, quality, and contractual outcomes are met.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure adherence to established governance, architectural standards, and delivery practices.

  • Contribute to the evolution of operating models, processes, and service frameworks in partnership with senior leadership.

  • Identify and address systemic issues, driving continuous improvement across platforms and services.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in HR Technology, HRIS, or enterprise platform delivery.

  • 5+ years of experience managing managers and leading distributed, global teams.

  • Deep expertise in Workday across multiple domains, with strong understanding of HR processes and system architecture.

  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale HR system delivery, transformation, or platform evolution.

  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders across functions and levels in a complex, matrixed organization.

  • Broad exposure across HR domains including recruiting, learning, talent, and workforce management systems.

  • Experience with Agile delivery models and service management frameworks.

  • Familiarity with AI-enabled HR solutions, automation, and digital workflow tools.

Leadership Profile

  • Operates with a systems mindset, balancing immediate delivery needs with long-term sustainability

  • Brings structure, clarity, and accountability to complex environments

  • Comfortable making decisions and owning outcomes in ambiguous situations

  • Influences through credibility, insight, and relationship-building rather than authority alone

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
