Tixr is seeking a high-caliber business development leader to accelerate our growth across professional and collegiate sports. This is a hunter-focused, high-impact role for a commercially sharp operator who can identify, structure, and land major partnerships with teams, leagues, venues, ownership groups, and major sporting events. You will work closely with Tixr leadership to build the pipeline, lead high-stakes negotiations, and ensure successful deal execution.
- Aggressive Growth: Own the go-to-market strategy across professional sports, building and converting a robust pipeline of high-value prospects across the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS, major college athletics, and premier sports venues.
- Deal Architecture: Lead the entire sales cycle—from prospecting and discovery through demos, RFPs, commercial negotiation, and contract execution.
- Commercial Structuring: Expertly design partnership economics, including revenue share, sponsorship, guarantees, and hybrid commercial models that drive profitable growth.
- Strategic Positioning: Clearly communicate Tixr’s differentiated commerce platform to executive stakeholders, effectively navigating competitive landscapes and procurement processes.
- Collaboration: Coordinate cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Client Success, Legal, Finance, and Operations to ensure successful implementations and long-term partner success.
- Network Utilization: Leverage existing relationships across teams, leagues, ownership groups, consultants, and industry partners to accelerate growth while expanding the Tixr brand throughout professional sports.
Qualifications
- Proven Closer: 6+ years in enterprise sales, business development, partnerships, or ticketing within professional sports or live events, with a documented track record of closing large-scale commercial partnerships.
- Industry Credibility: Deep network across the Big 5 professional leagues (NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS), collegiate athletics, sports venues, or related industry partners.
- Strategic Negotiator: Highly skilled at structuring complex commercial agreements and influencing executive-level decision makers.
- Action-Oriented: A true hunter who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments and consistently prioritizes pipeline development, relationship building, and revenue generation.
- Data-Driven: Analytical with a disciplined approach to pipeline management, forecasting, account strategy, and KPI-driven performance.
