The Director, Partnership Firms is a critical member of the business development team, responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships with external firms to drive business growth and enhance the overall success of the organization. The Director will pursue relationships with potential new firms and seek business expansion opportunities with current firms. The role will lead work both within the business development team and across the organization to ensure effective execution of the firm strategy, requiring a dynamic individual with a proven track record in business development, relationship management, and a deep understanding of the industry landscape.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identifies, evaluates, and cultivates strategic partnerships with external firms that align with business objectives to meet revenue goals.
- Studies market research to identify potential partners and assess the competitive landscape.
- Establishes and nurtures strong relationships with key stakeholders at partner firms.
- Collaborates cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Tracks, identifies, and adds qualified prospect firms to the sales pipeline.
- Leads negotiations for partnership agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions.
- Understands key firm relationships and provides recommendations for improvement for business growth.
- Stays informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities.
- Uses market insights to identify new partnership opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Leads firm onboarding process, working in tandem with the Office of Business Oversight and the Office of Technology Innovation.
- Works with business team to grow advisor interest and engagement via meetings, webinars, and conference attendance.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus
- 7 or more years of experience in the financial services industry
- Deep knowledge of business-to-business transactions, specific experience, and success in the negotiation of complex, firm-level experience, and success in negotiation agreements focused on mutual business growth capacity, demonstrating a consistent track record of exceeding sales targets.

- Ability and willingness to travel
