Job Description

The Director of Originals Marketing serves as the Series Lead across a slate of high-profile original titles, driving best-in-class 360° campaigns from strategy through execution. This is a leadership role for a bold, consumer-obsessed marketer who thrives on shaping culture and pushing creative boundaries. The Director leads the development of breakthrough campaign strategies and innovative creative, delivering culturally resonant work across all touchpoints to drive acquisition, deepen engagement, and build enduring fan communities.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead end-to-end 360° marketing campaigns across a slate of original series, defining campaign positioning, strategic framework, and creative vision from pre-production through post-launch.
  • Serve as the senior strategic lead for assigned titles, translating Starz audience insights, research, and trends into sharp, campaign strategies that unlock creative distinction and drive meaningful business impact.
  • Develop and set the creative direction for all campaign assets—including key art, trailers, AV, social, and digital—guiding internal teams and external agencies to deliver breakthrough, impactful work.
  • Lead high-profile marketing shoots, aligning photographers, creative directors, talent, and production partners to deliver best-in-class assets serving a variety of teams and needs.
  • Drive cross-functional leadership across PR, Social, Media, Brand, Affiliate and agency partners to ensure seamless execution, strategic alignment, and unified campaign impact.
  • Champion innovative, buzzworthy activations and partnerships that extend campaigns into culture, ensuring all initiatives are strategically driven and optimized to deliver measurable ROI and business impact.
  • Oversee and elevate all campaign materials (presentations, briefs, one-sheets, recaps), ensuring executive-level storytelling, clarity of strategy, and high design standards.
  • Act as a senior representative of Originals Marketing in presentations to executive leadership, showrunners, and external partners, confidently articulating strategy, creative, and performance.
  • Own and manage campaign budgets, making strategic investment decisions to maximize performance, efficiency, and business impact.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a high-performance, collaborative team environment while elevating overall creative and strategic output.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required; 8–10 years of progressive experience in entertainment marketing, ideally within a television network, premium streaming environment, or film studio, with demonstrated leadership in developing and executing large-scale marketing campaigns.
  • Extensive experience ideating, developing, and refining a full range of campaign materials—from foundational strategy documents to social-forward AV—ensuring all outputs are cohesive, integrated, and grounded in the overall campaign vision and goals.
  • Agency experience is a plus but not required; must possess deep knowledge of and passion for the streaming media and entertainment landscape, consumer trends, and cutting-edge creative.
  • Exceptional strategic and creative judgment, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling, and actionable direction.
  • Highly effective at prioritization and execution, managing multiple high-impact initiatives with speed, clarity, and attention to detail, with the resilience and agility to pivot as priorities evolve.
  • Influential and collaborative leader who builds strong partnerships, elevates team performance, and brings a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.

Compensation

$150,000 - $170,000
