The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on Media Director to lead our growing Media department. This is both a leadership and builder role; you’ll shape the vision for the team, guide day-to-day execution, and ensure we deliver exceptional results for our clients.
The ideal candidate is a strategic problem-solver with deep media experience (digital + traditional), strong team leadership skills, and a genuine passion for client relationships. You’ll also collaborate closely with our Operations teams on contracts, vendor agreements, and process management, ensuring the department runs smoothly and efficiently.
This is an opportunity to make a major impact in a creative, fast-paced agency environment; leading a talented team, helping grow client relationships, and contributing to the success of new business pitches and RFPs.
What You’ll Do
Leadership & Team Development (40%)
- Lead and inspire a team of media planners and buyers across traditional and digital channels.
- Create a culture of mentorship, accountability, and curiosity, helping your team grow their craft and confidence.
- Ensure best practices in planning, analytics, and campaign execution.
- Oversee department resourcing, workflow, and team development.
Strategy & Client Partnership (40%)
- Develop and present media strategies that connect client goals to smart, innovative plans.
- Build and nurture trusted relationships with key client stakeholders.
- Act as a senior strategic partner, offering proactive insights and recommendations.
- Contribute to client growth opportunities and agency RFPs/pitches by identifying and selling in media solutions.
- Stay ahead of emerging media and gaming trends to bring fresh thinking to every engagement.
Execution & Oversight (20%)
- Oversee planning, buying, and optimization across campaigns to ensure excellence and efficiency.
- Manage media budgets, reporting, and ROI analysis in partnership with internal teams.
- Negotiate and maintain long-term media partnerships and vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with the Head of Operations on departmental contracts, vendor negotiations, and client agreements.
- Oversee departmental budgets, financial tracking, and media billing accuracy.
- Ensure alignment between media planning, buying, and overall agency operations.
- Maintain operational excellence and consistency in media processes and documentation.
Requirements
- 7+ years of integrated media experience (digital + traditional); agency experience strongly preferred.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor, motivate, and grow a diverse team.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities — confident in front of clients and internal teams.
- Deep knowledge of media strategy, planning, buying, and analytics tools.
- Hands-on, collaborative working style; thrives in a “player-coach” role.
- Experience working with gaming, entertainment, or lifestyle brands is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Enthusiastic, curious, and driven to push the work, and the team, to the next level.
