  • Manage and guide the R&D team in discovering and testing new ad platforms, marketing methods.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership to align media innovation strategies with the company’s broader business objectives and client goals.
  • Own the Performance Creative Strategy across all testing and scaling initiatives (angles, hooks, offers, messaging, formats, creators/UGC, landing page narrative alignment).
Requirements

Attributes:

  • We are looking for a highly motivated, innovative leader who thrives in a dynamic environment.

  • Innovative Problem Solver. You demonstrate the ability to identify challenges and develop creative solutions through root-cause analysis and collaborative strategies.
  • Highly Organized & Analytical. You have strong organizational skills, experience managing resources, and a talent for overseeing complex projects from conception to completion.
  • Strong Leadership & Mentorship. You are committed to developing your team and fostering a positive, inclusive work environment.
  • Adaptability. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving digital landscape, with a proactive approach to staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Project Management Expertise. The ideal candidate demonstrates proven experience in managing projects of varying complexity, ensuring successful delivery from initiation to completion. Skilled in resource allocation, timeline management, and risk mitigation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of performance marketing experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role focused on media buying, or media innovation. Proven success in driving innovation and optimizing paid traffic channels.
  • Deep experience with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, and platform analytics tools
  • Expert-level understanding of the ad tech landscape and major performance marketing channels.
  • Proven experience building performance creative strategy frameworks (concepting, scripting, iteration loops, creative analytics).
  • Strong understanding of creative analytics (breakdowns by angle/hook/format/creator, fatigue tracking, cohort performance).
  • Experience in fast-paced, data-centric environments (agency or performance marketing).
  • Experience with North American markets and lead generation models is a big plus.
  • Experience leading and growing cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working remotely and collaboratively across departments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to senior management, and internal teams in a clear, concise manner.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
