Director of Marketing

Full-Time | Remote - US Based

The Director of Marketing is responsible for leading the overall marketing vision, strategy, and performance for The Boutique Hub. This role oversees the marketing team and ensures all marketing channels managed by the team;  email, social, organic content, and platform-based campaigns are aligned, effective, and driving measurable growth.

This role requires a deep understanding of Kajabi, memberships, sales funnels, webinars, online courses, and course launches, lead generation, and education business optimization.  This role will begin by overseeing these efforts and the marketing team, while working in coordination with Boutique Hub company leadership, with the future opportunity of executive-level leadership development. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on managing the marketing team, optimizing funnels and launches, and driving measurable growth. It is not immediately an executive-level marketing position.

The Director of Marketing sets the roadmap, ensures strong systems are in place, and empowers the marketing team to execute at a high level, leveraging team analytics, accountability and strategy.

What You’ll Manage

  • Own and evolve The Boutique Hub’s overall marketing strategy across all products, programs, and launches with the coordination of our CEO and leadership team.

  • Translate company goals into clear, actionable marketing priorities and quarterly plans
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the marketing team, ensuring clarity in roles, accountability, and growth
  • Set expectations, KPIs, and success metrics for all marketing channels and team members

Channel Oversight (Email, Social, Paid & Organic)

  • Own and oversee marketing strategy for membership growth, education-based products, and recurring revenue offers
  • Oversee marketing team performance with existing team members across:
    • Lead generation funnels
    • Membership and product funnels
    • Webinar to product funnels
    • Education-based course launches, memberships, and recurring programs product launches
    • Email & SMS marketing
    • Organic social media
    • Content and organic growth initiatives

 Performance, Data & Optimization

  • Own marketing reporting and insights across channels
  • Track performance against KPIs including growth, engagement, conversion, and revenue impact
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scale winning campaigns, identify underperforming efforts
  • Present clear insights and recommendations to leadership regularly
  • Prioritize performance, conversion, and revenue impact over vanity metrics or brand awareness alone

 Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with Content, Design, Sales, Events, and Leadership teams
  • Align marketing strategy with product development, education, and membership growth
  • Guide campaign planning for major launches, promotions, and evergreen initiatives
  • Own high-level funnel strategy and customer journeys across Kajabi, email, and CRM systems
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Kajabi capabilities and limitations to guide strategic decisions

You’re a Great Fit If You…

  • Have 7+ years of marketing experience, including leadership or senior-level ownership
  • Have led multi-channel marketing strategies for membership, online course, education, live event, eCommerce, or community-based brands
  • Are highly strategic and can zoom out while still understanding how execution works
  • Have experience leading and developing a marketing team
  • Have hands-on experience using Kajabi for memberships, courses, or education-based funnels (required)
  • Are confident using data to drive decisions and optimize performance
  • Communicate clearly, thoughtfully, and collaboratively
  • Understand and appreciate small businesses and the retail industry
  • Thrive in a fast-moving, mission-driven, remote environment
  • Have worked in membership-based, education-based, or course-driven businesses
  • Are comfortable being close to systems, funnels, and performance data—not just reviewing strategy

This Role Is Not:

  • An executive or CMO-level position at the time of hire, though there is opportunity for growth as the company and role evolve
  • A role focused primarily on brand awareness, PR, or top-of-funnel visibility without ownership of conversion, revenue, and member growth
  • Focused solely on influencer marketing or social-only growth
  • A contractor, agency, or 1099 position — this is a full-time W-2 role

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
