Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director of Marketing to lead our integrated marketing efforts across product marketing, partnerships, content marketing, and demand generation. Reporting directly to the CMO, this senior leadership role will drive revenue growth through strategic marketing initiatives, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of scaling marketing organizations in B2B technology companies and a deep understanding of data analytics or enterprise software markets.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and develop a high-performing marketing team across product marketing, partnerships, content, and demand generation functions
- Collaborate with the CMO to define and execute comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with business objectives
- Build and scale marketing processes, systems, and capabilities to support rapid company growth
- Manage department budgets, resource allocation, and performance metrics across all marketing functions
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision making and continuous optimization
Key Responsibilities: Product Marketing Excellence
- Own go-to-market strategy for new product launches and feature releases
- Develop compelling product positioning, messaging, and value propositions for target market segments
- Create comprehensive competitive intelligence and market analysis frameworks
- Partner closely with Product and Sales teams to ensure market-driven product development
- Lead customer research, persona development, and market segmentation initiatives
- Develop sales enablement materials, training programs, and competitive battlecards
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Partnerships & Channel Marketing
- Working closely with the sales team, develop and execute partnership marketing strategies with technology vendors, system integrators, and industry partners
- Create co-marketing programs, joint content initiatives, and partner enablement materials
- Manage partner marketing budgets and measure partnership ROI and impact
- Build relationships with key industry influencers, analysts, and thought leaders
- Oversee channel partner marketing programs and support materials
Key Responsibilities: Content Marketing & Thought Leadership
- Define content strategy that positions Dataplor as a thought leader in data analytics and business intelligence
- Oversee creation of high-quality content including whitepapers, case studies, research reports, and industry insights
- Develop content distribution strategies across owned, earned, and paid media channels
- Build and manage content calendar aligned with product launches, industry events, and demand generation campaigns
- Establish editorial processes, brand voice, and content governance standards
- Manage PR agency
Key Responsibilities: Demand Generation & Revenue Marketing
- Design and execute integrated demand generation campaigns across multiple channels and touchpoints
- In collaboration with Sales, develop account-based marketing (ABM) strategies for key enterprise prospects and customers
- Optimize marketing funnel performance from awareness through customer acquisition and expansion
- Implement marketing attribution models and revenue reporting frameworks (Hubspot + Salesforce)
- Manage marketing qualified leads (MQL) to sales qualified leads (SQL) conversion optimization
- Oversee marketing automation, lead scoring, and nurture campaign strategies (Hubspot)
Key Responsibilities: Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales leadership to align on pipeline targets, lead quality standards, and revenue goals
- Collaborate with Customer Success teams on expansion marketing, retention campaigns, and advocacy programs
- Work closely with Product teams to ensure customer feedback informs product roadmap and positioning
- Coordinate with our CMO and CFO on budget planning, ROI measurement, and marketing investment decisions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- 8+ years of marketing experience in B2B technology companies, with 4+ years in leadership roles
- Proven experience scaling marketing organizations from startup through growth stages
- Deep expertise in product marketing, demand generation, and content marketing
- Experience in data analytics, business intelligence, SaaS, or enterprise software markets strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing marketing teams
- Experience managing budgets of $1-2M and driving measurable revenue impact
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management abilities
- Proven track record of implementing scalable marketing processes and systems
- Expert-level proficiency in marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot)
- Advanced experience with CRM systems (Salesforce) and marketing analytics tools
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data and drive actionable insights
- Experience with account-based marketing platforms and revenue attribution models
- Knowledge of SEO/SEM, social media marketing, and digital advertising strategies
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with executive-level presentation abilities
- Strategic thinking with ability to translate business objectives into marketing strategies
- Experience developing compelling messaging and positioning for technical products
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high-growth technology companies (Series B-IPO stage)
- Background in data visualization, analytics, or business intelligence tools
- Previous experience with partner ecosystem development and channel marketing
- Track record of successful product launches and go-to-market execution
