Novel is the no-code platform for NFT commerce backed by top angels and funds across e-commerce and web3. Novel’s first product is a Shopify plug-in that gives brands and creators the ability to create and sell NFTs within their existing store or a brand new one.

At Novel, we are driven by a vision to accelerate the mainstream adoption of NFTs by reducing the sale and purchase of them to a trivial concern. The market cap for NFTs is already over $31bn; by eliminating large technical barriers for both creators and consumers, Novel will open the floodgates for NFT adoption.

On our team, you will bring this vision to life alongside world-class engineers backed by investors deeply integrated in the e-commerce ecosystems. Joining a company at the earliest and most dynamic stage— in a market that’s equally early and quickly evolving— means you must be both ambitious and resourceful, keen to solve problems with no set playbook.

You will

  • Own all digital marketing strategies to develop a portfolio of diverse customers and help shape the company’s brand

  • Own product marketing of products and features including positioning, messaging, gathering customer feedback

Need to Have

  • Mastery of B2B marketing

  • Experience working with Hubspot

  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments, with experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and design

  • Strong leadership skills with a history of building successful marketing orgs

  • A scrappy self-starter mentality with an interest in helping build processes and tools as needed

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with smart contracts

  • Experience working in e-commerce

  • Experience working at a startup

Perks

  • Comprehensive medical, vision and dental health plans

  • Competitive compensation and equity

  • Flexible vacation policy

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
