About the Position:

Swyfft is about to embark on a very exciting time filled with growth and opportunity!

We are searching for a Director of Marketing with P&C insurance experience to help us build the strategic direction of how we present ourselves to agents, brokers, policyholders, carrier partners, and the marketplace. Your expertise and previous experience marketing Homeowner, Commercial, and Flood insurance products will be instrumental in helping us drive future growth.


You’ll be responsible for building awareness of who we are and the products we offer through targeted communications, engaging content, and strategic marketing campaigns to keep our agents informed and engaged with our products and brand.


This is a fast-paced, roll up your sleeves position that partners closely with our sales, underwriting, revenue operations, and leaderships teams to strengthen our brand and grow our distribution network. We need fresh ideas, great leadership and a communication plan that articulates our value proposition in a highly competitive and sometimes volatile market.


*This position is a 100% remote U.S. based opportunity that can be based in one of the following states only: AL, AZ, FL, KY, LA, MA, MO, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI.

Travel for day-to-day work, conferences, trade shows, team meetings, and training will be required.

 

Key Responsibilities: (What you'll be asked to do)

    Agent Engagement & Enablement

  • Design and deliver training programs and provide resources to educate our agents on the products we offer.
  • Update and maintain our Agent Resource Center (ARC), ensuring our forms and quick reference guides are always up to date.
  • Conduct agent surveys and analyze their responses to measure the effectiveness of our internal tools and quoting platform.
  • Strategically plan, design, and implement trade shows, events, and conferences to actively engage with agents and key industry stakeholders, while utilizing established KPIs to measure and evaluate the success of each initiative.

     Brand Content & Communications

  • Own website strategy and content to attract and retain agents and policyholders.
  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all marketing materials, digital platforms, and property locations.
  • Build and manage our content calendar and run campaigns that attract a qualified audience to our products (blog posts, webinars, infographics, videos, and email).
  • Lead the creation of electronic marketing communications and collateral such as one-pagers and sales decks to support campaigns, events, and agent engagement.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics to continuously refine the marketing strategy. Leverage broad and direct email and social media strategies to build loyalty and engagement.

     Marketing Technology, Data & Analytics

  • Lead the sales and marketing CRM process through HubSpot (sequences, workflows, templates, communication, and reporting) while partnering with our Revenue Operations team to measure marketing ROI on campaigns and initiatives.
  • Use your deep working knowledge of CRM systems (HubSpot) to drive leads and communication strategies.

     Cross-Functional & Team Leadership

  • Collaborate with our inside sales, underwriting, and claims teams to ensure marketing initiatives align with business objectives.
  • Manage, plan, and adjust budgets throughout the year as necessary.
  • Manage and mentor a team of two Marketing team members.

  • Analytical and data-driven with a passion for turning insights into action.
  • A self-starter who is quick to take ownership, comfortable with multi-tasking, and strong at prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent creative writing and communication skills; you understand how to increase brand awareness.
  • Ability to shift between strategic vision and hands-on execution.
  • Proficiency with marketing tools such as HubSpot, Canva, and various social media platforms.

Some Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience working in marketing, with 2+ years’ experience with direct involvement within the insurance space (P&C).
  • Prior experience working for an MGA, MGU, or small carrier.
  • 2-3 years of experience leading and mentoring a team.
  • Experience writing and editing detailed insurance related content, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel as necessary for conferences, tradeshows, and events.

 Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field is required.

 Computer Skills: 

  • We’re an MS Office environment (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience using video and chat technology (MSTeams & Slack)
  • Advanced level editing skills with Graphic Design Software (Visme, Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Utilize your advanced-level experience with HubSpot and Zapier to meet strategic business objectives.

Actual compensation for this position will vary based on skills, qualifications, and experience. The range reflects annual compensation (as applicable) and does not include bonuses or other incentives that the company may choose to pay at its sole discretion.
